I see a pattern of internet seems fine in the morning then at 10am it starts climbing up in latency. Then at 10.30am LAG. After that. No need to say. Lag lag lag.

Telekom Malaysia Berhad ™ wishes to inform our customers that TM and its consortium members have identified that the earthquake occurred in Japan earlier today has affected Japan – US Cable Network (JUCN) and Asia Pacific Cable Network 2 (APCN2) cable networks linking Malaysia to The United States of America (USA) and Hong Kong (HK).

Customers using Internet services nationwide may experience some degree of service degradation such as slow browsing and high latency while accessing international websites hosted in the USA, Europe and North Asia. Customers using Virtual Private Network (VPN) and other critical business applications linked to USA, Europe and North Asia may also experience some level of service degradation. Meanwhile, to alleviate the problem, the traffic has been diverted and managed effectively to ease the situation.

We will make further announcements on the progress of the restoration works and TM apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the disruption. We would like to assure our customers that all necessary measures is being taken to restore the services as soon as possible.

Cables that break every month with or without earthquakes.. You would think they would learn their lessons by now and replace those Tissue-Quality Cables with something more durable...

I think since these undersea cables are in the ocean, nobody is dare going near them to fix it due to Tsunami Fear...

That or, people are too busy helping Japan, and ignore the broken cables atm

But *sigh* at international connectivity. Totally DREADFUL for MMORPG gamers when thier games are hosted in the USA such as , World of Warcraft >.<

Nope, til now they havent given us a single update after their 1st announcement of the damaged cables from the earthquake

Just woke up and international sites seems fast atm. Will see how long this last, bet with you not more then few hrs.

So far so good o.O I was expected it back to lagasaurous by now. Lets see how logn more it last

It hasn't gone to a Retarded Snail Crawling Speed yet but, I can see the ping gently, slowly but surely climbing up on my command prompt that is pinging.

*Edit : Have 2 Command Prompts running at the same time (1 Ping local 1 Ping USA.) Local one stays the same low ping but the USA one is climbing slowly.

Dunno bout surfing or downloading , but Im gaming =_= I no like high latency in raids cuz it = disconnect.

Really do not like this 10.30am on the spot, latency rising slowly thing. Usually before the quake , it only climbs after like 3pm

Mine was smooth until 10.30am then bad.. then around 12pm disconnect =.= reset router.. lag lag lag disconnect.. reset router.. lag but no disconnect..

Sigh it really is.. hopefully will go back better . Wish they update us bout fixing the damn cables. Lets see what happens at 10.30am onwards today...

Its always only good in morning or super late at like like 3am .

Seems alot better but its up and down, hopign for perma good and announcement frm tm

Added on March 23, 2011, 8:51 pmStill no announcements but this morning got me a lil worried, there was very minimal request time out here and there for international pinging but then later on smooth back then around 5pm dced then back 5minutes later.
