Modding custom SPB Shell needed hacked phones?

Update:
It seems I can use the skins without hacking.
Dang I'm loving the skin. So smooth.

Firmware or the SPB?

My firmware is the latest v50 which I know need reflashing but the current SPB i'm using is v3.05.349

Added on July 2, 2010, 3:10 pmToday I also tried out the ustream app.

It uses my camera and it streamed OTA on my channel.
Laggy a bit la but it works.

Skin can be found on DailyMobile forum in the S60v5 modding section.
Skin name: HTC Platinum.

The theme I use now is iVertigo by Dsma (in DeviantArt)

Sure.

1. Make sure you have yourself the latest version of the shell (or the ver. before it)
2. Copy all the .dat or whatever files inside the folder and copy then paste onto C:\20028B16 Or E:\20028B16
3. Start the shell then go to Settings\ touch the lower right button an\restore setting\ and select the .set file given.
It will set the stuffs inside the way it should be.



Not at all. it's actually pretty smooth. The kinetic on the menu is far better.

Even the weather interface inside is styled.

I copy and paste only and restart then set up the .set file.
That's the result I get wo..
If not, try edit the widgets.. Maybe inside have.

No need flash. But need to sign the app with your own signer and cert.
If dunno, front page got tutorial.


Been using this phone for almost 1 year liao..
1 year and so much good phones came up.


As for batt. I can't comment yet. Been tampering with the it all day long..
