c6 is the project where we porting nokia c6 firmware on this model 5800..so u will have c6 HS and plus more advantage than C6..like Hacked and rotation effect..

I never use the c6 cfw so the detail i'm not sure, but from what i understand:

1. extract language files from the china c6 firmware
2. put all those language files into the rofs2 (from original PNHT c6 cfw)
3. repack the rofs2 then flash
4. install dayhandinput

answer is yes with the right software. You can try quickoffice but to edit usually need to pay

did you guys noticed that the new fring for 5800 does not supports skype anymore? is there anyway i could use skype with video call on 5800?

now need to charge the phone every 24hours due to C6 CFW, lol, but still cant manage to import chinese language to Xtension C6-01 (at least can view chinese character), who here manage to do that ? mind to share the xtension CFW with me ? thx

I've found a simpler way to have viewable Chinese Character. Just follow below steps :
* Make sure you have cooked your ROF2 with RM-612.lang

1) Connect your phone or memory card to your computer.
2) Go to (memory card) e:/resource/fonts & delete all the files [or create a "fonts" folder if it doesn't exist]
3) Download this FONT & copy to (memory card) e:/resource/fonts
4) Make copy 3 similar files & re-name each of the file to : s60snr.ttf, s60tsb.ttf, s60ssb.ttf & s60ZDIGI.ttf
5) Restart your phone.

There are some symbol not integrated in this font - if you notice, the HS "profile" logo & alpha numeric keypad "space" both are not properly display the symbol.
But hey, they solve viewable chinese character.

For me it serve as tentative solution while waiting for much improved CFW.

I think c6 n 5800 fw not much diff as both are symbian^1.. Maybe UI some tweaks only

battery lasts only 1 day?? well guess wont upgrade to C6 CFW anytime soon.. i like 5800 super dayum long battery life, sometimes 5 days straight no nd to charge!

Flash to Nokia C6 custom firmware,then whole of your 5800 will be the same like Nokia C6..especially the HS,u can customize to put widget..

Plus with this CFW,u will get ur phone hacked and can install a lot of apps without sign it..some more the theme effect will be more nicer than C6+rotation effect+landscape on HS(everyone dream on 5800)..
