QUOTE(juwels @ Jun 29 2010, 12:29 PM) Falling rocks as easy to detect... I think we have almost been hit by the 1st wave when collecting ballista ammo. Second wave always hits the ballista. If I see the tusk sweep I usually run on top near the dragonator ;P |

After playing MFHU more and more, I feel one of the major flaws of MHTri is the lack of offline content.
Players jump to online mode without even finishing their offline quests. e.g. Lagi, Barioth, Caedues. Without getting the feel of all the bosses available, they jump to G Rank and end up getting OHKOed with the lack of armor. I made the same mistake of jumping to online too fast as well. All I can say is, I'm not going to hold your hand and lead you through your quests - I expect as much as you as a skilled hunter to know what to do and how to fight in each situation. QUOTE(tigerporc @ Jun 30 2010, 10:26 AM) Actually the same can be said of MH on PSP (e.g. MHFU) - if someone is lucky enough to have fellow hunters HELP on the online gathering hall quests, players can proceed to get much higher ranked armor and weapons which can help a lot when you play either the village elder offline quests. LOL True I wouldn't say it is all bad... even if your fellow hunters are super skillz and kill the mob quick, you can still learn by watching. Sometimes being online will help you enjoy the game more (and not make you rage quit the game for good) and then leave the offline for when you dont have time to go online (or for unfortunate times like when phone line is fried) I've been having fun climbing the ladder - from the beginning and now soon to take on Tigrex. I guess after playing MHTri & other similar hard games e.g. Demon's Souls, I have learn to appreciate its challenges. |

QUOTE(kiukiu @ Jun 30 2010, 11:32 AM) Yup. It's a good place to experiment with new style of playing for me. And new weapon category as well. Experiment new weapons during offline in Moga Village.Arena is meant to fight the monster to the fullest ability within the shortest time possible. If you look at what items the arena quest gives you - it should give you an idea what you can do. Added on June 30, 2010, 11:42 am QUOTE(madmoz @ Jun 30 2010, 11:37 AM) advice taken sifu, yes sir. True, we had fun in the missions... but I felt bad because I didnt finish offline quests hence I didnt know what to do with the monster btw, he (gundam) did lead us thru and thought most of us what to do during missions so jumping online isn't half that bad. also, some of us aren't serious players (i.e. me and nyx). It is more of a social thing. Fail fail lo, at least we had fun And as I was a hammer user, the expectations were stun/ko the monster... which I had problems LOL As for online - Jhen is OK, I still dont have enough runs of Ala & Joe yet to find the perfect moments with the exception when they're trapped/drugged This post has been edited by gaeryn: Jun 30 2010, 11:44 AM |

QUOTE(madmoz @ Jun 30 2010, 11:52 AM) Well, i managed to let a giggi stick onto me until i pengsan (not sure if it was him, cause i also kena small baggi tailwhack) offline earlier. LOL in MHFU There's a quest u need to let giggi stick to you and transport him back to camp I was running around to see if more than one giggi could stick on me. None did, so apparently it is one hunter per giggi. |

Each weapon has its own strengths and weaknesses.
I dont believe in the word "OVERPOWERED" or "NERF" - It's all a balancing act. To me when a "NERF" or balance happens, I need to adjust my play style - I find ways to improve on what has been balanced. Maddy, You helped me KO several monsters before with Crag shot |

QUOTE(madmoz @ Jul 2 2010, 10:59 AM) either he gets tired and just sits there, or he doesn't get exhausted fast enough, rolls around and pancakes all of 4 of us. Depends how many of us using Light/Med/Heavy bowguns We could stand around Ura and shoot him in the form of a cross. This post has been edited by gaeryn: Jul 2 2010, 11:09 AM |
