i've just got my Logitech G500, i'm still struggling a little to adapt to it, though
now, i understand why so many people complained about the scroller of logitech mouse, lol i tend to have a habit of slightly lifting the mouse throughout the usage of it. this is when the problem kicks in; the laser was so sensitive, whenever i lift the mouse up, it'll still be detected and the cursor tends to move away! if you get what i mean... QUOTE(Everdying @ Sep 24 2010, 12:36 PM) well g500 has the same adns-9500 sensor as the xai...and i dont have any lift-off problems with my xai...so looks like its down to firmware issues again. i didn't and haven't install the setpoint, though, if that is what you're talking about Added on September 24, 2010, 12:39 pm i also prefer ambi mouses, using the xai now. but if on a budget, and dont use side buttons, best choice is razer abyssus. else try to save up for the xai |

installed the G500 to my PC without any hassle at all.
the scroller; i'm fine with it. the buttons; all are great. but i really, really don't like this. picture this. i lift the mouse up about 1cm off the table, and i still can move the mouse. i'm like, omg, this is so not righttt. as i mentioned in my previous posts, i have a habit of lifting the mouse up very often, especially during gameplay. this is kinda annoying especially when the the cursor is moving around erratically when i lift the mouse up. anyone having the same problem as i do? anyone know anyway to counter this problem? else, i'll have no choice but to sell off this mouse. please help. |

@ TechnoG
you mean the mouse is built to be able to function like normal even if the mouse was lifted up to 2.4mm off the surface? @ yongkailoon call me katak bawah tempurung, but i never experience such cursor movements before, even with my old ocz behemoth, hehe. example, my stop my cursor at x. when i lift it up, the cursor would end up don't know north, east, south or west of x, haha. perhaps, as you said it, i'm not used to such technoogy, yet. but then, it would be best if there is an option to disable such a feature. that is the only cons, in my humble opinion, though i never use any other gaming mouse. |

mm-hmm, i guess i'll have to live and get used to it, then
oh, and yes, i'm using it directly on the table, hm perhaps, because the the sensor is on the front and not in the middle? haha, oh well This post has been edited by domo_kun: Sep 25 2010, 09:21 AM |

QUOTE(yongkailoon @ Sep 26 2010, 11:13 AM) Every new gear will take some time to get used to it. When I changed to a new keyboard, I feel like my fingers are all over the place. For mouse, it was really uncomfortable at first but feels good after a while. yup, now i gotta lift the mouse in a different way, haha only problem now is what to assign to the macro keys, hehe This post has been edited by domo_kun: Sep 26 2010, 11:56 AM |
