Recently there is too many FAKE branded cosmetic in the market!
LYN prohibits selling fake item. however there is still tricky as some of us not even aware of it.
so all my babes, its time for me create this thread !
Lets share what fake branded cosmetic u all ever know or bought before.
So far i personally gt to know that benefit and MAC gt fake products!

i think those that are being sold in the market (night market) or so are all fake. the price is so much cheaper than the original.. but then again.. some places might be taking directly from warehouse; hence the cheaper price.

i can't even differentiate it.. however i hardly use branded cosmetics such as those from the counter brand. i usually use japanese drugs stores brand. so, no worries of fake items as i believe those are original.

I have heard there are many fake one out there for MAC~~ >.<

For the others i have not heard about it. lolz

Shiseido??? those in japanese words. isits also fake? those people sell online. i know the peel off type is fake la~ but what about those people sell in blogpost?

if the price have a very huge difference. it would be the fake one i think. lolz... from what i know those blogspot usually sell those sample size. lolz

i only know the coastal scents from USA right, there is one selling it online, but brandless. they actaully claim that theirs are same quality as the coastal scents... should they be trusted?

I saw fake ANNASUI lipsticks before and they are sold in very cheap price. I think was around RM20-25. Their packaging was almost the same as the original (include the box). I did ask the salesgirl about the lipstick, but she just explained to me that it was the previous season products, so they are now sold in cheaper price.

My godness! anna sui also gt fake!? and its selling at the counter??? then mana to go buy authentic with gurantee and warantee orh?

as i travel to thailand..i saw a lot cosmetic selling cheap..shisedo, skinfood, MAC, etc...is cheaper than ori price..selling at normal shoplot..
perfume 2..i dun think the item is authentic..beware a lot fake item now..

I saw MAC and others brand too but cant really remember the name.. well the counter/stall just set up inside Giant mall n near to giant exit..

coastal scents 88 or 120 pallette is actually comes from a not so famous brand.. the brand manly.. their eye shadow pallette is actually the same as what coastal scent is selling.. perhaps they just bought it over or some business deal.. ask them to manufactured and printed their brand "coastal scents" on it to make it theirs but in fact that same manufacturer has supply the same thing to many different brands out there.

i also always see at night market the mac product.. but never have feeling to buy them.. haha.. so scared la...
even the shiseido black peel off mask.. still selling for rm2 at night market at my place~ people who dunno about this product has been discontinued sure got cheat la..

but then i try on the shiseido peel off last time. really not that bad. after peel of really gt the instance result. it just that i worry if the fake products cx much affect to the skin so i stop using.

not the fake one myb... haha..

can see those tiny little whitehead stuck on the mask rite

i always thought that they are all different products that are selling out there!!! Coastal Scents are always my favorite because i have seen many make up gurus using them. But who knows... too bad then... =(

but why too bad? it's not fake or whatsoever.. just same thing but selling it to different brands, that's all. it's all the same thing. i thought of buying the 88 palette one day. haha!

lolz... it seems like i bought the same quality product with a higher price... That's why too bad.. Who are you going to buy from??
I bought one Coastal Scents 88 Shimmer Palette it actually cost me Rm96...
I saw one thats brandless actually selling at Rm65 only... >.<

ohh right! that's what you meant eh. sometimes it's good to do research first before buying it. haha! on youtube there are many guru who are using coastal scents and also non coastal scent but they are all using the same products manufactured by the same manufacturer. i thought of buying it from ebay. when you say brandless, do you mean without brand or the brand is not famous?

Added on June 13, 2010, 10:56 amthose same palette with different brands are not fake. what make you think coastal scents is the original ones? like i mentioned above, it's all by the same manufacturer but he supplied to different cosmetics companies. that means, all are originals but different brands. perhaps coastal scents are more famous; hence ppl thought theirs the original.. are you thinking of that too? all are original though..

Added on June 13, 2010, 11:50 amuhm~my personal opinion still feel that its better to get beck to the "ori products with brand on it" rather than listen to some news spread but not sure with the creadibility. still buyers tend to feel more secure since its well known brand rather than no brand. anyway, oatkrunch, since u've decide to the the pallete i guess it would be fine for u to get them.

oh well... the brandless i mean was there are really no brand stated in the cosmetic box. it actually worries me... but never mind. i have ordered some coastal scents product for me. lolz... for those which are not really famous but selling the same palette are usually selling it at a higher price compared to Coastal Scents. I have done some research also... hehe...

haha! really? but you can check out ebay.. mostly are much cheaper than what coastal scents are selling. hehe!

Ebay is cheap but sometimes due to shipping, the pallet breaks. A few seller also selling in lyn with competitive pricing...sigh, it's so hard to do business in lyn these days. So much competition! Wondering where else can i sell my things...

yeah sure. do tell me that. the reason why i have been saying that i wanted to buy this palette since last year yet i haven't buy it is due to doubt. i don't think i will use many of the colors from that palette as my everyday make up consists of some colors. the colors that i frequently use is pink, purple, earthy colors.. sometimes green perhaps.. but other than that... i don't really use other colors. it will be a waste of money for me i guess. hahah!

pigmentation wise, i know that palette is pigmented and i don't really like to use pigmented colors. i mean not too pigmented. if you have used majorlica majorca's or lavshuca's eye shadow before, you will know what i am talking about. those are the level of pigmentation that i don't mind. hehe!

oh... i will see how pigmented the cs palette is, cuz i never try before, lolz. i think i tested majorlica majorca's eyeshadow before, i would love the cs will work the same or slightly more than them. hehe will update you after i get my pallete. lolz.. still waiting for it to come to me!! >.< if you often use those colours, i can suggest the cs mania palette or the warm palette. i think those are the colours that you will like... hehe

you could find fake maybellines and loreals at pasar mlm as well. even cheap drugstore brands also people will find ways to imitate for profit.

yeah i have seen those palettes but too many different tones for one color. haha! i doubted i would use all of it.. so, i will be unlikely to buy any of those palettes. however, if one day, i have nothing else to buy, i might buy 1 palette to try out.. but will get it from ebay instead of coastal scents.

^ btw, do you know who is manwomanfilm on youtube? she uses manly 120 palette at some of her tutorials as well. you can check it out if you want to.

I have been 'eyeing' the Coastal Scents warm palette for the past few months. If I do get it, i should be disciplined to not buy anymore eyeshadows for a long time. But yeah, I have come across these beautiful palettes from ebay even before CS brand but don't trust the quality. Since makeup does enter the blood stream and directly touches the skin for many hours, I would rather pay more for Ori products altho I am also a bit cautious that CS palettes are from China.

My next move...wait for CS to have discount and see if there are any sprees. I wonder how often they have discounts.

There are so many fake products eventhough they are the best form of flattery some are so similar it is hard to tell. But perhaps after using the product you can tell from the quality.

How do i get a listing of sprees going on? I tried doing a search but the results are very few if any!

I think... i think.... i think.... cs palette will be alright... i trusted them and i've ordered myself one... just hoping that they will not disappoint me... >.<

if i were to go into all those make up going into blood stream and stuffs, there will be lots of argument with not just the 120 palette from coastal scents or those so-call unoriginal brands such as beauty factories or manly out there (which you guys called it) but also MANY branded cosmetics out there too.

sigh... all the best then.

ohh and btw, if you are one of those cosmetics lovers who love to buy cosmetics all the time... you know like those guru on youtube.. trust me, even once you have bought the palette, you WILL still buy others eye shadows out there no matter how much you want to resist.

i am sort of proud of myself.. the last time i ever bought eye shadow was early this year when i went to taiwan, i bought whole lots! until now, i haven't buy anything even though watsons is having promo for fasio, which i really wanted to buy; however, i didn't. haha!

lately, however, i find myself buying more and more lipstick, lip glosses and blushers. however, i didn't end up buying a bunch.. whenever i go to places, i wanted to buy some blushers or lippies, i will end up not buying it.. thank goodness.

Added on June 22, 2010, 1:21 amOh whilst doing some browsing saw ebay selling brandless palettes for less than $1 and shipping is $10-13. I guess it should work out to almost half price vs. CS palette (88 colors). And lelong.com also there's a seller-rm65 for the 88 palette free postage,also got other 'CS' makeup. But oh my, copied exact text from CS website. That's going to the extreme as it says it is CS palette but photo doesn't show the CS cover and I understand that now the logo of CS is on every color? It does seem the lelong palette and the HK (ebay) are the same thus, cheaper to buy from HK through ebay although, because of some bad experiences with ebay (the sellers are one thing but the way ebay operates and deals with disputes) I won't buy from them. They look so good on the outside, have trouble, they try not to help you. They want $$ so be careful, fraudsters who again and again set up shops and build their reputation and then they disappear only to appear again as another seller and e-bay does very little to stop this. Of course they make you think they are doing their best but in actual fact it is not the case. Sad even pathetic but true. I really want to caution people about ebay. Their safety measures are weaker vs. some other sites. Don't buy expensive stuff unless you are so very sure the seller is genuine.

CS i think packs their stuff to weather the tumbles on the way to the buyers. Versus clone ones who have had accidents along the way from what i read lol.

well , i'll share my point of view about CS palettes compared to the rest . I've done my research , and they are basically the same items , produced by the same manufacturers . The difference is CS has paid for OEM , to have their company name stamped on the palettes and the rest of their products . Other palettes without any brand stamped , are still the same , and you could get it cheaper because u're not paying for the cost of OEM .
So , why do you want to pay more for a similar products . Just because it's from US , doesn't mean they are better quality , because they basically came from the same manufacturers , which are in China . SO to me , there's no original or fake ones in this case .
If you are a savvy shopper , you will know what I'm talking about .

About other fake cosmetics , I have found a lot of MAC , Bobbi Brown , Benefit and NARS . So you have to be aware of this .
Some claim they are from Dubai and not from China . Which are still the same thing , as they manufactured in China and send to the free port in Dubai for distribution . Basically they are still the same replica / fake .
Besides cosmetics , there are also a lot of replica brushes , with the same Brand stamped .

For me , I would rather use unbranded ( no brand stamps ) and drugstore products rather than buying fake/replica .

that's exactly what i was saying in my previous post.. but sometimes people feel safer by having that recognized brand to buy it. but when this 88 palette or 120 palette is concern, whether it's coastal scent, beauty factories or manly are all the same.. from the same manufacturer.

a lot lo~ SKII oso got fake~ every brand oso got fake one not just mac n benefit...
