Halo all,

Plan to get a 2.1 new speaker for my laptop.

Consider to choose Edifier brand.
-Budget RM150, can topup a bit.
-Not require a loud speaker to boom my house, But I need a high and quality bass. I'm a techno and trance fan.
-Size, colour, shape, does not matter. Even it looks ugly, I more on the quality


power911 and metaloid suggestion me Edifier m3400/e3100.

I need more suggestion as well as reviews. Thanks all.

Why there is no M3400 in Edifier Official website ?

M3400 Actually is an old product right ? Some reviews is in 2007. So does Edifier stop producing M3400 ?

Oh yeah, another M3400 user. So what's the main reason M3400 caught your eyes and ears ?

My budget is tight. I hope I can get this wonderful speaker. M1380 is waiting me if I can't really afford M3400

Yeah, Tonight I'm going to grab a M3400 If price below RM160. Else I grab M1380 for RM129.

Where to get Edifier speaker in Lowyat Plaza ? I only went to Viewnet due limited free time and I can't find M3400 and M1380 !

Which shop does selling it ?

Allow me to tell my story to you guys,

I brought my M3400 in Sri Com@Lowyat Plaza because it is cheaper a bit compare to Viewnet. But I'm not happy with the service by the seller. The service was terrible !
I told the stuff that I want M3400 and he said wait. Then I waited for 10mins........

After that, He took the M3400 to the counter and my GF asked him " Buka test dulu ", and the male stuff reply "Ini ada warranty punya, tak perlu buka". And I just .

And the cashier, I paid her and and she give me the bill "Nah". Is it hard to say thank you ?

Luckily my speaker works perfectly. Sri Com really need improve their service quality.

My review on Edifier M3400

It's so heavy(8.8kg) I carried from Lowyat to my house . Ok, honestly, M3400 looks simple yet great sound quality. The woofer was so wonderful. But the woofer covered with black steel, I can't see the woofer bumping. When I try puss the woofer volume to the max, "woo woo woo' sound occur, but it's ok to me . For the satellites, it just simply awesome. And lastly the volume controller, round shape, surround with blue LED, look sexy.

Sound Quality: 9.5/10
Loudness: 9.0
Bass: 10/10
Overall: 9.5/10

What speaker you can get with budget below RM16X ? Only the M3400 !

Fxxk Shxt ! My roommate curi curi use my speaker ! I purposely switch of the power and plug in my cable into the microphone. When I came back, the power is switched on and the cable was plugged-in the headphone ! And the volume controller is turned almost max ! WTF I ask them and all said don't know.

I'm afraid my speaker will damage if they continue using my speak. So anyone know how make the speaker unable to function or limited the volume ?

HAHAHA ! It's work ! Thumbs up bro ! Tested and work !!!

It case it damaged I really because the volume was really turned almost full. Heart pain .

As you said, just remove the wired volume controller and hide it ! They can't to anything without the controller.

Added on October 25, 2010, 9:33 pmYes, M3400 is very bassy if you maximize it. The clarification is almost prefect for budget RM200 below. Just lower the bass if you prefer clarification.

Believe me bro, M3400 is the best choice

What does effect the sound quality beside the speaker itself ? cable ? Sound card ? Wire ? or even the position of the speaker ?

My subwoofer is on table. . I think it's time to put below my table.

Hey guys, does speaker need to charge ? I find out a weird thing of my M3400, For a cold start, the speaker sounds so weak, but after 10 minutes of blasting, the sound will turns better and louder. Something wrong with it ?

M3400 Clarity is not sux, considered as entry-level in-term of price. But don't play play with its bass.

Mobile phone sound output is better than laptop output(sound card) ?

For several months I'm using my M3400 with my laptop, but today I tried with my Nokia X6 to play some music, and I notice that the sound was so clear and the bass was deep and tight ! And I try again with my friend iPhone, the sound was just....WOW ! Really unbelievable, I try to turn louder and the sound just getting awesome !

Btw, is there something wrong with my lappy or is it really mobile phone had better sound quality ?
