QUOTE(beggarmaster2000 @ Sep 2 2010, 01:34 AM) Don't underestimate it man, it sound quite good already.Just that 4558 can impress a lot consumer...with overloaded bass and treble. I just wonder why most expensive karaoke amp still use 4558 instead of 5532. |

the difference between the 2 is just minimal like brothers.... 5532 has only a small advantage over 4558...
don't underestimate 4558 =) its my favourite jellybean most multimedia speaker brands just don't know how to fully unleash it =) premium brands/models puts it in optimum places and makes you wonder why the same crap can sound so good and bad at the same time.... thats why i say those ppl who mod op amp only first have tin ears |

I prefer myself 5532 than 4558 coz i found that fully unleashed 5532 is better than fully unleashed 4558.
For budget multimedia speakers, 4558 helps to bring out the clarity, thats a good thing I changed my op amp, and reliaze that my M3300 has the ability to play such detail sound and i found that my woofer no "weng weng" sound when on loud volume which made my thought it woofer design problem. For what i've heard, my M3300 is much more detailed comparing my hometown hifi shop with a setup of RM80K total. This part i felt weird wondering is it my problem or not This post has been edited by Cosef: Sep 2 2010, 02:32 AM |

what? what else if not 4558? what to put inside? if you are a manufacturer.... hahahaha 5532? aiyo the price and the difference not worth it la
opamps are not a MUST in your component, you can live/play music without it =) maybe you have got your definitions of audiophiler wrong =) no matter what you do to your altec, edifier, sonic geer multimedia set. it will never be audiophile =) *some brands like altec have premium products but n/a in msia it will just sound better than stock thats all =) QUOTE(Cosef @ Sep 2 2010, 02:31 AM) For what i've heard, my M3300 is much more detailed comparing my hometown hifi shop with a setup of RM80K total. Op amps is the cheaper and efficient way to get low losses in the circuit, just that simple.
Audiophile is audio freak or ppl like to listen to actual sound on thier hi fi system where the recording does or likes to listen to the music. If you said no matter what to do with my multimedia speaker set i will never be audiophile...then you junkyard kaki also goes the same way...never been an audiophile too. You and me love DIY, as a DIYer, we always find our smart way to get better, means achieve near the level as those pricey stuff in a cheaper way. My hometown there got Marantz, Accuphase, Dynaudio, Cambridge Audio, Synergistic Research, Bowers & Wilkins, Jeff Rowland, Rotel, Rega, Wharfedale, Audio Research and many more. So i should own such a stuff to qualified as an audiophile? Expensive does not mean anything....if that is, why not ppl spend money to get MBL some kind of most expensive product like that to qualified he is a true and best audiophiler. I experinced M3300 mute button will had slight oxidation inside causing 1 of the channel not working properly or can't fully mute. |
