@cosef... blutack enough to damp ar?

doesn't seem strong to me.
I use those foamy mousepads stick with double sided tape XD
less mechanical voice

Enough, it does nicely, work just like car deadening with dynamat.

Used up 1 pack of blu tack on it....if want real good need more....since out of blu tack so i just put the on the important place.

Stick outside the box there works, just not look nice.

The driver basket does ringing a lot anyway.

Added on January 8, 2011, 9:38 pmI did another pack of blu tack in the satellites speaker again, damp the basket and the back side of the enclosure.

Now i just had my speaker running satisfy result.

Total 2 pack spam on the satellites, really heavier on the overall weight.

Aww... That's the new series! Hardly seen in this forum yet. Would audit it when I'm go back to KL. But the appearance is a bit... Too distracting! As my TV shelves are too high, I can't actually place the sub on floor. I might still consider E3100 for bass. I need to consider the size at the same time as I'm going to put it on a shelves, as well as its appearance and ease of accessibility.

I googled quite a while and read something on E3100, M3300 and M3400. Everyone said E3100 for bass, M3300 for clarity (lack of bass when you want bass) while M3400, said not so good. I will audi new P series and compare it to E3100.

How's M3200? As i'm going to place them on shelves, I think the appearance is better when compared to other models.

E3100 got something I want! That's the RCA line in! I can straight hook up from satellite decoder xD!

M3300, has sufficient bass honestly, but not house pumping bass....

QUOTE(12andy @ Feb 4 2011, 10:31 PM)
Per nismo91's recommendation, please refer to my S550 crossover issue.

Nismo, you're correct. I'm concerned about the S550's lack of sufficient bass management. A reply I got from [H]ardforum was in agreement with my thoughts: ALL channels should be crossed-over equally. Why this wasn't done is beyond all logic, IMO.

Please note that I'm running the sub at an SPL-meter calibrated level, using Avia. Based on my room conditions, this means:
- SW: -9
- X-fi sub level: -7.5

The issue is painstakingly obvious when playing Crysis for example:
- Without bass-redirection on, the firing of guns is... weak, to say the least.
- With bass-redirection ON, the impact of firing each round is present. A nice, controlled kick in the gut is there. Spaceships hovering BEHIND you emit an ambient, rumbling bass.

Aside from a movie's dedicated LFE content (which would be nothing but the absolute lowest of sounds), let's think about why receivers have a speaker size setting (small/ large) to begin with.
*
Trying to help out but i don't really understand what you mean rclxub.gif . What i can get is:

- When original, rear channel = no bass
- front channel = got bass
- turning on bass redirection, x-fi stuff, things goes good.
- bass and treble control on S550 only changes Front Left and Front Right speaker.

sum up = why rear channel no bass.

If above is all the facts, then will the bass comes out if you plug rear channel to your X-Fi front channel output?

I'm very happy with my current C3. Ya you need to pair it with good soundcard. You can refer my sig.
I thought all speaker price doesn't drop, yes?

power911 right, has mild bass but very good clarity.  thumbup.gif

When they played around 1:05 - 1:08, the high pitch sound distorted a bit if heard correctly. Is it because of Youtube quality?

Huh i thought it is a style to scratch the string like guitar?

Hmm...i didn't listen at loud volume but i hear no improper noise leh hmm.gif
It was the instruments sound i've heard, like suddenly pull to sharp and high pitch tone.

edifier m3300sf user here.Just got it for about a month or so.Pairing with a xonar dx.Replacing a Sonic Gear Blue Thunder 2v.Would like to ask if its safe to put maximum bass on the speakers with 20% volume as evryone knows that the bass level for m3300sf on 50% is *ahem a lil low *ahem.  tongue.gif
*
I had mine M3300 tested max woofer volume, max volume on control, and max windows volume then it can withstand numbers of songs without problem without any mod yet but my ear bleed already.

A lil fun thing to share, stick a coin with blue tack on speaker helps do a little tweak which part you want the sound brighten up, for my M3300 satellites i on can stick it behind because it is a flat panel speaker.

There were people doing this thing to tweak thier hi fi equipments.

yay! moar mods XD
but srsly? ppl actually tweak their hi fi with this method? kewl! laugh.gif

must give it a try whistling.gif probably wouldn't get any improvements out from my speaker system tho
*
Those audiophile like singapore coin to put on top of speaker.

Now like limit, so didn't done much mod, replaced again my interconnect with my newer build then this tweak. So far i can just think the coin absorb the vibration thats why feel like sounds goes higher, maybe you can try stick dynamat see how good will it goes.
