paisehhh why laaa the british press is so obsessed with humiliating their own players. i don't get it one bit. if its true yes its shameful. yes its wrong.
but spreading the news to every tom, d***, and harry does no one any good. i think there was an article on vital chelsea that highlighted the stark contrast between germany and england's media on how they publicised each team's exploits in the recent world cup. germany never stopped showing their support and cheered the national team on. even when their dream died vs spain. england's media on the other hand did the exact opposite.

once again i maintain the lot who run their press are sick in the head. and the sooner our players ditch that poisoned white shirt, the better!

edit: so d***'s censored now? laugh.gif

hmm true that. would love to see a studge, nico and drogba combination upfront though drool.gif
but there's no way anyone's going to displace flomo for now. so we stick to our guns vs westham. it'll be nice seeing parker and carlton cole again. just hope they're ineffective against us. biggrin.gif

i'd rather our english core players have more pride playing for the chels. why? the public there (apart from true blues of course) lap up everything their despicable press throws up, and they end up putting in more effort to boo their OWN countrymen rather than support the team. chelsea blue over england white any day of the week brother!

i have no problem with the other countries who actually know what supporting your national colours is all about though.

anyone read yuri's recent comments that were published in the daily mail? not what i'd like to hear at all. i guess its just a matter of time before a player of his talent becomes impatient. feel sorry for the guy. a player who'd start in almost, if not all top teams sad.gif

mad, that's possible if carlo finds out those comments really did come from yuri. but it would set an unhealthy precedent whereby unhappy players just need to speak up in the press and they'll get a better chance of starting. although i'm not questioning yuri's commitment one bit, as he plays his socks off whenever he gets the chance.

its just one of those unfortunate situations where there's one star player who's magnificent from doesn't seem to be letting up, and only one position to fight for. but we need to remember yuri specifically said he expects to be given chances within the next few months where he'll aim to prove himself and maybe get in a consistent run. with regards to that, i say he's being quite reasonable. its a bit of an uncomfortable saga that's slowly beginning to develop, and how it ends is anybody's guess hmm.gif

well then let's hope he will. i don't think he'll be content with only cameos here and there. the malouda left wing/yuri right wing combo has yet to be tested though. i'm quite confident a whole lot of teams will have problems dealing with that lethal combo! anyone watched england u21's recent game? studge was pretty lively. unlucky not to get a goal though.

yupp james we know about that. nowadays its difficult to say with utmost confidence that we WILL sign a certain player (heck even ramires took such a long time!), no matter how positive the signs are in our favour. the safest way to confirm a new arrival is through our official site, as the market is that much more difficult and vicious nowadays. lukaku's a talent but i wouldn't keep my hopes up bro. same principle goes for the fella in your avatar smile.gif

well the most positive outcome from the west ham match was undoubtedly GAEL KAKUTAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! woot woot. a lot of respect for carlo who kept to his word and fielded gael, even under difficult circumstances. at 2-0 and west ham showing signs of a possible comeback, it would've been easy for carlo to just delay kakuta's 'debut' this season and opt for a senior sub to keep the game within our control.

but he didn't and gael rewarded the gaffer's faith in him with a very mature 15 minute display (he didn't giveaway possession even once, mind you) and two superb through passes for didier which he failed to finish; one a slide-rule grounder and the other was a lovely measured pass that sailed through the air (albeit didier was in an offside position when he received it but wasn't flagged up). did anyone else notice gael looked slightly more lean than usual? it could be more gym work. all in all it must've been an enjoyable evening for the lad.

on to our new signing ramires, he looked very tentative at first and struggled to adapt to the pace of the epl. but as each half slowly wore on, u could see he gradually gained confidence and displayed some surprising bursts of pace to go pass players, and a good amount of aggression when it was needed. after he got used to our tempo, he kept possession with ease and did look like a essien/makelele hybrid at times. i sense he'll be a key player for us, this boy ramires! speaking of essien, the bison wore some springs in his heels and was determined to outjump everyone in west ham's penalty box. a bit shot shy which was uncharacteristic, but his headers were first class. particularly enjoyed the second one which left ben haim flat on his arse looking dumbfounded laugh.gif credit to paulo for the lovely cross too!

my only gripe is on didier, who looked a bit disinterested in the game and was careless in his passing. attempted some things at the wrong time and was rightly bellowed at by carlo on one occasion. i guess u could spin it a little and say he picked the perfect time to have a poor showing. time to focus on zilina drogs!

i feel so left out. bloody astro keeps changing the times of the repeat. there was suppose to be a game at 8am this morning and there wasnt. im getting really pissed off sad.gif

i cant comment on the game yet!
*
dude u have to watch the game if only to observe kakuta's performance! biggrin.gif
ehh i thought u caught the repeat last night? there was one around 8/9 pm. managed to catch those two through passes that i hyped on about again. tongue.gif

edit : another reason to watch the game is MIKEL had a fantastic half-volley from OUTSIDE the box which cannoned off the post!! rclxm9.gif

actually it was a terry and iva partnership in the middle of defense. both did very well, and iva had a sliding shot blocked by green. ferreira was at RB and was exposed a few times. sweat.gif supporting the attack he's more than decent, but i'm worried better teams will really start to punish us down that right hand side. its that lack pace again. hopefully the boss willl be on the bench vs zilina, and maybe, just maybe start against city.

actually boss isnt that great at defending either. but he might be the more aggressive one compared to paulo.

yeah i know iva was partnering terry. but before he missed a game due to back injury, he was playing right back. well, its good to know that our center backs are doing a good job. cant wait to watch the replays tonight. unless astro decides to mess with me again.

Added on September 13, 2010, 12:24 pmif im not mistaken through wiki, the last time we met MSK zilina, we whooped them 5-0 aggregate.

i am not being overconfident as any team can upset any team but we should going into the game with the confidence, mentality and belief of champions. being overly careful is just going to ruin our flow and game.

i really hope we can have a go at the finals again this season. whats more, its at Wembley.
*
yep at least the boss has the speed to recover, if any player sprints pass him. wouldn't mind iva at RB against zilina though. good to know we walloped them 5-0 before. time to review that video me thinks! the CL final will be at our second home, but we have to get there first. we're perfectly capable of course, barring any on-field 'interventions' from the men in black.

a start for yuri vs zilina? ashley could use a short break..

QUOTE(shah_ho_nam2 @ Sep 13 2010, 01:01 PM)
good for you u still can watch it on astro.

there's no astro for me here by the way. all under ptcl worldcall cable service

yeah shah where are u man? hmm.gif

mikel is slowly turning into our black pirlo. tongue.gif
it does appear like carlo has given him a lot of encouragement to spread the ball around, and not be afraid to have a shot.
who do u guys think is ahead in the 'young subs' pecking order now? studge or gael?

hmm come to think about it, nico and kalou were pretty quiet vs west ham. apart from that superb 'backheel' goal from kalou of course. laugh.gif
if they park the bus and its 0-0 up to the 70th minute, i say throw on kakuta!

flomo will get the party started!

and once the party starts, nico and solo usually gets involved.

i would prefer if the youngsters get more minutes once we're two up. hell, just throw kakuta in from the start. i dont think we should hold them back anymore. alot of top teams are throwing in their youngsters because they believe in them. we should with ours too. kakuta is one of the best young players in france, he can start.

Added on September 14, 2010, 2:43 pmuh. is drogba banned for the coming two champions league games?
*
suddenly the kakuta option seems much more viable now aye? icon_idea.gif
but a front three of malouda, nico, and studge sounds yummy as well! the amount of creativity and speed in there is enough to trouble any team if they click.

yuri and studge starting wooootttt! a surprise omission of kalou it must be said. he could've been on the right wing with studge upfront. no rest for nico i guess. but after seeing what happened to utd with their reshuffled squad this morning, maybe retaining most of our experience for this clash isn't such a bad idea hmm.gif

haha yup we won't have to become pandas at work tomorrow! instead we can just be pandas at home, which is much more fun without anyone judging u laugh.gif

we're not that familiar with zilina, so iva is perhaps the safest option. blackpool have been pulling off some shock results so we might just want to retain him there. the serbian has a fantastic engine so it shouldn't be a problem. hasn't been at RB for awhile, wonder if he's maintained his 'reasonable' quality in crossing. hmm.gif

nico will probably be our main CF, interchanging with studge whenever possible. louda will provide some wicked crosses, but he'll have to keep them hard and low to make it easier for studge and nico to convert. we'll see.

hmm not sure of the importance of scholes towards utd, but they're still pretty strong without him. it could've just been a case of too much rotation, and rangers ain't no small fry man.

didn't see any close up pics of valencia's injury, but the reaction of the players around him says it all. God forbid anything like that happens to any of our players. sweat.gif

kakuta may come in for studge in the latter stages of the game, depending on the scoreline of course. but i see him more as a long term heir to malouda's throne, so would rather he try out that left side of the attacking trident. the good thing about gael is he has the ability to play that free role or remain on the leftwing. whichever suits him best only time will tell.

yepp yepp its a different feeling when one of our young players takes center stage! (yes he's poached from city but who cares tongue.gif )

QUOTE(madfag @ Sep 15 2010, 12:23 PM)
yeah i do think sturridge will do well against the weaker teams. he however does not have experience playing against the bigger teams. i will never forget how the marauding maicon marauded him last season.

btw, not considering manutd a big team is pretty harsh man laugh.gif
