I going to buy HDMI Cable Tomorrow, there are Rm35 - 45 Range in the electrical shop but is the unknown brand one. Please tell me if i should go for the expensive one or just take the cheap one because my LCD TV Support 1080i Max, also i hear someone in here says the tesco has sell the cheap HDMI Cable like i think rm19-25 if yes please tell me if the Tesco Puchong has sell it or not?

its very hard to judge a cable's quality merely by its price, unless of course if you are able to do some signal integrity measurement (i.e. eye diagram). being an engineer that has experience in qualifying cables for high speed signals, I would say that there is nothing much end consumer can do except to 'trust' the specs that is declared on the box

TS... tesco puchong still got lots stock... selling at rm20... so far so good for me...

I've just received 20pcs of 1.8M HDMI Gold Plated v1.4 today. Not for sale , but each cost around rm15 only.

Simple answer.. YES!!

Take care when handling HDMI cables...they dun like to be bent sharply.

HDMI cables for upwards of $80, and reader Todd pointed us to a website offering no-name 6-foot HDMI cables for $6.37.Taking a quick glance at the Best Buy website, there's an HDMI Cable that's 2 feet shorter, a 4-foot length from Monster Cable for $149.99.

who is todd? the prices are in US dollars?

hmm... So cheapo non-brand not much different from expensive branded hdmi cable? In term or picture quality...

Not as straight forward as that, and here are some simple rules

1) if you are connecting your PS3/Blu-ray Player/Media player to your TV and the distance is less then 1 meter, cost effective cable should do the trick.

2) If you are connecting your PS3/Blu-ray Player/Media player projector and the distance is more then 3 meter... better quality cable might be called for

3) If you go all out to 3D TV and Projection, you need HDMI cable that can conforms to 10.2 GB transfer rate, then you need more costly cables as well.
