She does and get saved quickly, but later Touma goes to save someone else instead.

"She's Useless" is what the faction she's from (Necessarius) wants everyone to think about her so that nobody disturbs her.

Because she can actually use the knowledge from her head (but she doesn't know she actually could), and she has that "Terminator mode" (Johann's Pen mode) we have seen in the first arc of S1 which can actually be manually triggered, and the head of Necessarius has one of the "remote controllers."

which later on is revealed as a key to a mysterious greater power

Summaries for Episodes 2 to 5

02: The Book of the Law
Orsola Aquinas, the Roman Catholic Church's Decoder who is able to decipher The Book of the Law, is abducted by the Amakusa Church. Meanwhile, Amakusa's former Priestess (read as Lady Pontiff) [Kaori] Kanzaki still cannot be reached. In fear of possible conflicts that may ensue, the Church of England (or Anglican Church) sends Stiyl Magnus.

03: Amakusa
Touma, together with Stiyl, rescues Orsola from the Amakusa while assassins lurk inside Parallel Sweets Park (or Wonderland). Somehow, Orsola manages to get out safely, while Stiyl is hurt in the rescue.

04: Sheol Fear
The Substitute Pontiff of the Amakusa Church, Saiji Tatemiya informs Touma and Stiyl that the Roman Catholic Church probably wants Orsola delivered to them to have her killed in secrecy. Just earlier, they are attacked by agents from the Roman Catholic Church and Saiji wants Touma to warn Stiyl that he is going to be dragged into a scandal that involves the Roman Catholic Church that he will not be able to intervene to.

05: Lotus Wand
The nuns of the Roman Catholic Church attack Touma and the others. With the sheer numbers of their enemy pressuring them, they flee to the nearest church and there, they polish up a plan to fight back. With the plans completed, Touma goes off alone to face the leader of the Roman Catholic Church nuns: Agnese Sanctis.

They met way before the fight. At that time Touma just arrived in Italy and was looking for a lost Index.

- Rikou's the new candidate for the 8th Level 5, and she got caputred by Academy City at the end. Mugino has now officially fallen for Shiage and the two is going back to AC to try and get Rikou back.

- (confirmed) Index and Touma talked about his memory loss, but all she said is "As long as you come back safely it doesn't matter" (or something like that)

- Mikoto tried to save Touma, but he decided to stay behind in the Star of Bethlehem to fight the new archangel that descended and rejected her help. She tried to forcibly use her ability to drag Touma onto her plane, but her electricity got dispelled.

- Fiamma went to Touma's side after being pwnt, and his first thought is to "Protect the world that man(Touma) risked his life to save from being trampled upon, even if it means fighting a real monster." AC forces came to capture Fiamma, but got wiped out. Aleister then came to Russia somehow and defeated Fiamma easily (By using a Magical attack that would have erased both Europe and Asia in one blast if Fiamma didn't stop it), taking Fiamma's right arm that now has IB.

= AC knows all the 'potential' that a esper can get up to, and decided to only raise those that can raise up to Level 5 and leave those that need more effort to get to a higher level to conserve resources. (eg a person has potential of getting past level 2 if s/he tries hard enough, but due to AC's methods s/he is stuck on level 2, the chances dropped from at least 1% down to 0%). That's why Misaka's DNA was taken back when she's still a Level 1. After hearing about this even Mugino turned against AC in anger.

- Touma stopped the Archangel, but ended up falling into the Arctic Ocean as the Star of Bethlehem fell. The narrative stated Touma has now died his second death. (the 'First' death stated in the narrative being the time Touma lost his memory from Index's Dragon Breath)

Touma loses his right arm in bitter conflict with Fianma but it triggers a hidden power instead. His right arm is restored and he defeats Fianma. Fianma escapes after that, ignoring Mikoto's attempt to help him. Touma tries to stop the falling Star of Bethlehem but it crashes in the Arctic Ocean along with Touma and the revived Gabriel (not sure whether Gabriel fell into the Arctic or not. Someone please confirm translation)

Accelerator finally deciphers goatskin parchment and uses magic to.....something body (someone translate ズタボロになりな......I'm not good with katakana....no idea what zutaboro means) stopping Fianma's major attack. Accelerator's wings change from black to white.

Revolt in Academy crushed.

Second part:

Hamazura uses Rikou's body crystals to attack Mugino. They reconcile (goddammit...must see how the hell they did this....lord knows I won't reconcile with THAT kind of crazy *****) A Dark Matter wielding weapon of Academy pursues them but they manage to fend it off. The final leader of ITEM tries to kill them (someone tell me WHO the **** this is cause I thought Saiai was the only member of ITEM left....) but Deiguruv (or however the **** you spell his name) aids them. They torture the girl for info on Academy.

Mikoto stops the nuke and tries to use a fighter jet to save Touma from the Star of Bethelehem but is rebuffed by Touma.

The power of Fianma's third arm is dependent on how strong the his will to destroy his opponent is. He was unable to destroy the planet even though he had intended to cause destruction above that level as his ill will towards humanity was not that high. (So yeah.......a really SERIOUS Fianma is an utter monster....no surprised he pwned Hyouka...what's her current status BTW?) He has a change of heart after getting beaten by Touma but gets his right arm cut off by Aleister (so Crowley now has the Holy Right) Left for dead, he is picked up by Aurrelus

Styl manages to stop Index. They converse briefly with Touma and appear little after that.

Rikou is Level 5. Somehow she is able to control ESPers.....

Touma lost his arm and REGREW IT.

1. The animation somehow got a bit better this week, which makes it better for me since I wasn't entirely happy about it last week.

2. Touma really loves to "act first think later"... I can clearly see how he's outnumbered... and damn his timings into his moments of "Big Damn Heroes" combined with his Imagine Breaker sound effect, this is one of the reasons I like him as the hero of the whole series.

3. Nice punch there Touma. Now how I really wish you can throw hundreds of them like a certain shounen legend I always love depicting you imitating him. Along with that certain battle cry of "ATATATATATATA..."

4. ... Oh Stiyl, you got nice timing too... Wow, even if Index is not involved he surely have a good degree of compassion on his fellow Church followers.

5. Okay... too many people are in "I'll solve this." "No I will." "No me." "How about we do all of them together?" Even though their numbers lack those of the Roman Catholics... it's three factions against one. (Touma counts as one for me, why not?)

6. I find it funny how the other nuns who clearly outclass the "Orsola Rescue Mission" group in terms of manpower can ignore Orsola being carried away by Touma to safety... oh wait they didn't. But they were surely slowpokes to give Touma a chase only after he exited the building. :uhoh:

7. Nice way to introduce Itsuwa - RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM (Touma)! I hope this won't cause any much of a "storytelling paradox" later on...

9. Why lookie there if it isn't Sisconkado (Tsuchimikado ) and Kanzaki. Well since I already know what's their role in this arc already I guess I won't be bothering much about what they're going to do later on (except for Kanzaki, which... uh, well, wait for this arc to finish and see).

10. Torches that blow up when you throw it... I'm thinking it's some sort of an explosive Molotov cocktail right now... Man all that chase and all you need to shake some of them off, Touma, is just kicking them off the stairs? I guess you're THAT strong after all...

9. Sheol Fear... uh huh... whatever, moving on. (If I were to ignore what that actually does, I might be thinking that Index's singing a nice song and she's overpowering the nuns just by singing.) And oh hey it's a remix of "Destiny Begins" (the OST from the first series). Nice, I'll be sure to get the 2nd season's OST later on when it's out.

10. ... Deliberate destruction of hearing ability - well, as much as how I would like to remind myself I'm watching a story in motion, still... excuse me while I go and forget I ever saw that. =_=|||;;
