Hey guys, which is better between Xbox 360 Elite and Ps3 Slim in an unbiased opinion (no fanboys). I have 2 1080p HD tvs, I already have Blu Ray players, and i don't play online very much. Which is better suited for me? Also, do 1080p tvs enhance xbox 360 the same way they enhance PS3?

i know xbox 360 elite has package deals for around 1300 rm, coming with 2 or 3 games. What about ps3 slim? does it come with any packages for the same price? if so, what is in it?

Fair comment, instead of those who never own one console and bashing the other due to lack of intelligence

pragmatic approach:
don't play online - check
no specific game in mind - check
no need blueray - check
then go for xbox360 - coz ah, value for money.

now, if u play online even a little bit (coz from my experience, once u taste online, u don't want to go back to single player), then go for ps3, coz:
1. lot of your online malaysian friends will be on ps3 compared to xbox360

then again, if u r a geek who likes to play with strangers, go for xbox360, coz we all know 360 has better online experience.

the detailed decision making tree is actually very complex, but as u can see above, i have simplified it greatly for u.

Wait for Natal and Move then decide. End of year. If u cant decide now, save more money buying "u know what game". So u can afford to buy worthless game to play. Buy box.

Other than that, ur current situation, Xbox 360 suit u best.

both provide good ol experience. i prefer ps3 online more then x360.

i've mod my x360 since its ol gaming need to pay extra. up to u to choose here.

perhaps hakbu's advice is wiser. wait for natal and move/arc. then decide. or choose which game that u prefer to play. gears of war or final fantasy.. forza motorsport or gran turismo..

I only own the PS3 and Wii... haven't decided whether to get an XBox 360 yet or not...

My honest personal views based on what you have.

The XBox 360 and PS3 has its own selection of games though both platforms do share quite a lot of similar games so it boils down on whether you have more preference playing PS3 or XBox 360 only games.
Both consoles pride themselves with Online Gameplay though I think the XBox 360 has a subscription based online gaming experience... not sure if they've removed the whole "pay to go Live!" experience or not... You may not play online very much now but you never know how things will be in the future... you could get hook and become addicted to online gaming via these consoles.

One of the PS3 pros is the Software / Firmware upgrade to enable 3D Blu Ray.

PS3 only titles (I.E. Uncharted 2) tend to have very good graphics.. a lot of which really looks much better than the XBox 360. Playing it and games like Metal Gear Solid on Full HD is a wet dream come true.

Not sure pro or con but PS3 controllers are rechargeable compared to XBox 360's AA batteries.. Some prefer AA batteries, some prefer rechargeable ones.. depends on your preference.

I think for the XBox 360, it has a lot of really good games. Much more than PS3 I feel. Project Natal if it takes off, I think will again revolutionise the way we play games. PS3's motion game controller kinda looks lame.

If I were you, since you have 2 FullHD TVs , consider buying both (I think you can probably afford it)... one for each TV. You'd get the best of both worlds.

And yes, once u've tried online (especially co op games), u'll never wanna play alone. Like a forumer said (forgot who), offline gaming is so PS2..

well, i've seen some shops on forum that offer 360 elite set with 2 games, extra controller, and HDMI cable for under 1300, but can't seem to find any ps3 sets with extras and good price

are you ps2 gamers before? used to pirated games or downloaded then burn to cd? xbox360 is ur answer, look no further.

if you cannot buy both, you already have that money constraint. xbox360 is the answer. if you have money and thinking to buy 1 and then another console, then get ps3 first, or you'll stuck with your x360 and the pirated games that soo sweet to let go (the feeling of pirating)

In term of gaming titles and performance both are more or less identical... before PS3 n XBox came... games titles are mostly stick to their main console maker only...
like if u want to play Sonic u hv to buy Sega, Want to play mario hv to buy Nintendo, Want to Play SNK games must hv Neo Geo...

Now... times hv change... most titles hv gone multiplatform especially for PC,Xbox n PS3... leaving Wii which still cater for their own gaming titles mostly...
Only some titles are exclusive to some console... like GOD,uNCHARTED n etc for sony's player... n some Microsoft games only for Xbox eg: Mass Effect,Halo,Doa4 n etc...
With FF13 previously was exclusive for PS3 now has jump for multiplatform... n we are seeing MGS series going to Xbox soon...

Interm of built quality, xbox seem a little bit low quality since its noisier and the console face plate breaks easily, while ps3 hv a low noise and steady built casing... visual/Graphic quality are marginal differnce... while some games look better on PS3 like FF13 which was always the game with Sony.. but other titles are mostly identical.. Loading times the Xbox is far more superior... The PS3 load time i longer and the slim ones loads longer than the fat ones.. thats y ps3 games are recomended to install on Hdd to reduce load time...

controller wise.. Xbox design was identical to the Dreamcast and it has a more sturdy grip for players compared to sony's dual shock whisch is a bit too small n flimsy to some adult hands..

so.. if you are a hard core gamer.. u'll find a console that satisfy the game titles for u not what it looks good on paper... usually non bias true hardcore gamer will buy both to satisfy the exclusive titles...

sg set is cheaper. but warrnty claim in sg. no other differnce.
