with that kind of budget and floor standing speakers you can get brand new dvd home theater speakers from most brands like sony, panasonic, lg etc. Blu ray home theater systems costs a bit more. If you want separates it'll cost even more. So your best best is either dvd home theater in-a-box or 2nd hand separate component systems.

manchild, most dvd home theater system are just basic performance for basic value. Getting it separate I feel brings more value for the systems.
Most probably you can get an amp with that price. The speakers..... I think you have to get it 2nd hand or raise your budget by another 1.5l  |

I was just working with the OP's budget and suggested to him what is possible. If he is in a small room, I believe htibs are more than adequate but if it's a big room or living area separates would of course be more suitable Most probably you can get an amp with that price. Heard from one of the forumer here commented about HTIB vs. Separates.
According to him, HTIB makes only noises... while separates does produce clear surround. I would agree with him because when I played Avatar using NMT with Toslink cable plugged into the HTIB, I can't really hear quality sounds. Just my personal opinion. |
