Hi guys, i need to find an original Xbox 360 elite (jasper set) in Kuala Lumpur, preferably near KLCC. Where can i get it, and how much. Oh, also, i want to buy it from a store, so no individual people offer to sell

in klcc there is 1 shop at concourse floor near nandos,jez a small shop,,if u looking around that area i prefer for u to go to sg wang plaza and look for tech two enterprise(most recomended and the price is very reasonable)elite package cost around 1.2-1.4k the unmodded always cheaper than the modded unit

as long as ur console stay offline it should be safe ,tech two is on the 3rd floor in swp,about the package u will get 1 black x360 console,1 black controller,ethernet cable,1 headset,av cable,power brick and original games vary on which package u bought if forza le u will get forza 3 motorsport,lego batman n pure the other package u will get gears of war 2 n halo odst if im not mistaken..

will i still get microsoft 3 year warranty at these places?

FYI, there is NO OFFICIAL PRODUCT for xbox360 in Msia. So even you didn't modify the console, but you still can't claim any warranty from M'sia Microsoft. And also most of Xbox360 sell in KL game shop are normally import from S'pore, if you want to claim warranty, then you need to send back S'pore Microsoft.

Btw, I strongly advise don't buy Xbox360 in that KLCC shop bcos that KLCC shop always mackup at higher price. Some more, that KLCC shop always cheating customer for warranty in any console.

There is 1 shop selling arcade set around 800 & elite set around 1000+ at sg wang

I will also say the same thing to KLCC shop. TS should go to shop we recommend here.

But even though XBOX360 is not supported in Malaysia, you still can claim it @ Singapore Funan Digital Mall. The booth is just beside Challenger. So TS should opt for the Microsoft Sticker behind the faceplate.

Yo TS, there are several better game shops around the KL area, I for one go to Gamers hideout at PJ for my gaming needs but at the lowyat forums there are at least a dozen recommended game shops.

In KLCC the game shop there is perhaps the best example of a tourist trap, white people, middle eastern tourists are the main target base. I see games costing up to RM230. The 360 console itself is far more expensive than all the shops recommended on the forums here and from the looks of the employees they care jack shit about gamers. They sit around and just talk amongst themselves. I would recommend you go to the garage sales here and look at the recommended shops. The best location alternative i can give you now is the smart choice enterprises at times square, friendly, they acknowledge the customer and they deliver.

I still remember one day I went to that KLCC shop asking regarding console warranty. They told me most of their console (Xbox360 and PS3) is from S'pore and they said got warranty from their shop.

When I ask them what's type of warranty, they told me warranty service and any problem in motherboard, they will charge. When I ask them Xbox360 got 3 years warranty for 3ROD, but they told me when customer go to claim warranty from S'pore Microsoft, it will charge.

More funny thing was, they told me even PS3 under Sony Style Malaysia only got warranty for housing, so any problem in motherboard, Sony will charge also. After this, I don't bother them and just go.

What type of man for this KLCC shop? Warranty also want to play cheating. If no warranty, just said no la. If can claim from S'pore, then just tell customer. They think Sony and Microsoft so big Corp in international also want to cheat customer ah? stupid......

once again you proving the point...there are some shops that act as the middle man for warranty claims, they send the console to Singapore and do all the bureaucratic stuff for you for a fee, but since most of us dont get time off to go to Singapore just like that it is a worth investment.If it is for the first three months then its a free replacement plus shipping fee back to Malaysia.

That's the main reason I hate that KLCC shop. They should tell customer clearly for any warranty claim and transport cost, but not simply bu hit customer.

The problem was that KLCC shop staff simply said Microsoft S'pore will charge customer for any repairing in the motherboard including 3ROD (Even for PS3, they also said Sony will charge customer on any repairing on the motherboard including YLOD). Come on, Microsoft S'pore is not selling AP set Xbox360, customer like us also not stupid, what's point they go to cheat us?

They do not charge for parts & repair....except accessories.....and if not mistaken the bluray Drive as well...

If repair mobo need to charge they're long time gone.

Haha, I think you confused on it already. This is only the information from that KLCC shop, not true one. Bcos they try to cheat customer to buy their PS3 or Xbox360.

For your information, all the Msia set PS3 will get 1 year + 3 month (make sure online register) full warranty from Sony Msia. As long as your machine is Msia set and under warranty, you no need to pay money for repairing PS3 even they change some part or Blue ray drive or YLOD.

For Xbox360, there is no official product in Msia until today, so you won't get any warranty from Msia Microsoft. So for 3 years warranty claim, it is depend on the what country machine you purchase. If your Xbox360 is S'pore set, then you need to sent back to S'pore to claim warranty. If your xbox360 is Korea set, then you need to sent it back to Korae to claim warranty.
