QUOTE(StratOS @ Dec 16 2010, 09:51 AM) 1. Dial *#*#307#*#* on your Streak. Other than a quick flash on the screen, it will look like nothing has happened. Thanks bro....i got the answer through uncle "google" 2. Go to your app drawer/program menu and tap a new icon labeled EMList. If the icon is not there, turn off the Streak. It should be there when you turn it on again. 3. Scroll to the bottom and tap app_security. 4. Tap update unknown resource property to enable it. |

Guys, i may need some help..
I've successfully upgraded to 2.1 from 1.6...now i'm trying to upgrade to 1.4.6 Read the guide and a few things caught my eyes: 1. What does ClockworkMod Recovery Flashed means? I've downloaded ROM MAnager but whenever i press Flash Clockworkmod Recovery nothing happens. 2. In the how-to, what does Steps 2-4 are only needed if you are coming from a build OLDER than 1.2 means? Does it means that i have to go through steps 2-4? 3. Can i bypass 1.4.6 and straight to 1.5.1? Sorry, really confuse now |

QUOTE(toughnut @ Dec 16 2010, 09:23 PM) Google on Clockworkmod Recovery. Basically u need to go into fastboot mode and flash the recovery rom with custom Clockworkmod recovery file. This custom recovery enable you to update custom zip file, pkg file, Nandroid backup, clear cache and a lot more. Roger that! Thanks. Now i understand...i think I suggest u flash it mistadman's recovery file since it's much more capable and his Nandroid working on Streak. And yes, u need to flash new baseband but can go straight from stock 2.1 to steve 1.5.1. Once u clear of the steps, hard to get it wrong. Quite simple, in fact, compared to older OS. |

QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Dec 17 2010, 03:26 PM) U got to find traders to take it in or order online ..... Streak is kinda new to malaysia ... Went low yat plaza the other day and suprisingly , they asked me " got oledi ah ? Yours not prototype ? " .... I was like zzzzzzzzzzzz . Working in LYP yet so outdated . Went to LYP also yesterday but nobody seems to carry any accessories and the best part is, when i mention Dell they told me to go find at the computer shop....hahahaha...i dont even bother to reply and just walk away....QUOTE(toughnut @ Dec 17 2010, 03:27 PM) Regarding the accessories, actually it lack support from major accessories maker. For good value transparent case, i suggest for askarperang's EPIKcase. Iirc, less than 20 bucks. I had a clear hard case where it covers just the back and liked it very much coz it protects the back but the phone is still visible...i dont like cases where it covers everything, although it protects the phone, and you cant tell what phone is that....that was for my desire that was sent for warranty (AP set) and got sent to china to get it fixed....hahahahaha...a long story... I'm eying for Ottercase's Commuter and PDAir's leather sleeve but both seem overpriced :sweats: Now still using it naked. |
