Just my point of view ^^

If it lags while playing games then get a 5870. That would resolve the problem.

Haha, I think he's playing newer games which requires a higher processing power to generate playable fps. My friend has a E8400 with 4870X2 and it's very powerful, no problems at all smile.gif Hence, the GPU matters a lot if you're gaming. There might be bottleneck but for example you might be getting 50FPS with E8400 but upgrading to i7 will gain you a few fps extra depending on the resolution. The difference is not a lot so what matters most here is still, the GPU itself smile.gif

Overclock the cpu helps alot ... Especially CPU demanding games . Get a new cooler and the E5200 should easily hit 3.3-3.4Ghz.

Use your camera to record your lagging games, upload to Rapidshare and let us see what you mean. E5200 + HD4670 on our sets here never lag. But of course we OC our E5200's kaw kaw, even faster than some quad core machines.

there is a common way to test if there any bottleneck.

1) cpu clock set at stock setting, use fraps to record a game fps.
2) overclock the cpu, use fraps to record the same game fps.

if there any noticeable different, that means there is cpu bottleneck. brows.gif
