Deuter is a brand from Germany. It is known for producing quality backpacks for majority of the outdoor activities like hiking, camping and etc.

Hi there, i dont have a shop as im doing this part time.

I have not actually encountered any pirated Deuters before.. But i do have tags to prove that it is original. I am getting from a legitimate supplier and i have sold tons of Deuters without complaints.

In all honesty, i have never come across a fake Deuter before. But a buyer of mine once told me that the original and the fake differs significantly in its design and quality. He told me that one look at mine really differed from the fakes that he has seen.

Mine comes with tags but nowadays i think anything can be imitated including tags. So i don't have a sure fire way to teach you whether to tell if it is fake or original. I take my stocks from legitimate suppliers. I don't sell pirated goods. I do COD anyways, the buyer could actually see the stocks before handing me the money.

Added on August 24, 2010, 9:56 pmPersonally i have not seen a pirated before. Would love to see one cause lots of people has been asking on how it looks like. I've seen pictures of a fake Deuter but never a live unit.

Anyway, yes i do ship internationally but the shipping charges are borne by the buyer themselves.

And just to reinforce again, i don't sell fake Deuters. Please ask those that has bought the bags from me.

Hi buddy, I think both edition is fine cause Deuter has a very good Back support. But i do have to inquire if you are using it for a Day trip hiking. If that is the case, Deuter Futura range below 32 L are great. But if you are going to camp then both futura Vario and Act Lite is good.

Yes SL is specifically design for women but i believe many men are carrying the SL version too.

I think serial numbers can be easily copied. Was told by one of my customers once that the design of the fakes looked really awful. The moment they saw it, they could tell it was fake.

But in all honesty, i have never seen one myself. I believe people will start developing high quality pirated look alikes when there are really high demand for it like Louis Vuitton or even Gucci bags. You see it everywhere. But I have personally never seen a fake Deuter before.

It just goes on to show that there are definitely demand for Deuter bags but the demand is not so high that it would trigger the pirates to produce the Grade A look a-likes.
