Also if can, state that u bought it or for free brows.gif

Ive seen both threads before, I'm just worried about the maps, some GPS software is just terrible, makes you make a big round before reaching the destination know what i mean? @_@

I'm using iGO My Way. The extension of the map is Malaysia.fbl. I didn't know whether it can use MFM map or not. Sorry about that sad.gif

Did I buy it? Did I download it? *grin*

p/s: Since Papago M6 is using Chinese language, and Papago x5 doesn't work with 2.1, I'll stick with iGO. For me, it is good enough. Just give it a try blush.gif

lol, I dont think so sad.gif MFM for Papago & Garmin only i think. Community maps are great. What would u say on Papago M6 vs iGO ? I'm gonna try Papago M6 because got MFM support, I figure I wont be using the GPS frequently anyway, just occasionally, Chinese should be a mere problem, but It would certainly be better if it was in English! Because I suck at Mandarin sad.gif

I would say Papago is more better than iGO. But since I'm using Eclair, my choice is iGO. So pickup your choice mate! whether you want eclair or papago m6 tongue.gif

Yeah, community maps are great biggrin.gif . No doubt about that.

Using iGO now for 2.1. I prefer Papago, but what to do~ 2.1. iGO interface is definately better. But dislike input method, not qwerty, ABCDED is hard. Also I tried to search friends house, it didn't show up because I put K.L! Need to change to Ampang only can! Such a hassle, wished it could just search for all doh.gif

Yea im aware theres many gps app, but only a few with msia. Theres no garmin YET, though. Would like to use papago m6, i actually tried but it seems to close without any message during the splash screen with music. Along with the mandarin gui factor, i gave up on it. Now im using iGO, unless someone can show me a good papago m6 guide, aside from the one on legendroid that i tried and failed doh.gif

i'm using the "Nav Launcher" which you can download from the android market. it is free. so far it is ok for me. the only drawback is that the voice navigation kicks in a bit late or sometimes non at all....

of course, you'll need data plan (because the map is retrieved online) and gps enabled to use it....

When I search "Nav Launcher" in Market, no exact match of this app. Only Launcher + Beta, Zeam Launcher etc... hmm.gif

Just installed Igo on my Desire (Thanks to DrZan rclxms.gif ).

Seems like the resolution does not really fit on my phone, the Igo map occupies abt 50% of the Desire screen only. sad.gif

Anyone using Igo on Desire and having the same problem as mine? hmm.gif

on Nav Launcher, i think it may have been taken out of the android market, because i couldn't find it as well, although i'm not 100% sure about that....huhu...

Papago X5 malaysian version works for eclair 2.1
although no newer maps are available from mfm at the moment, the last release is good enough to sustain until some bugs and scripting is worked out.

you can purchase papago x5 for the eclair 2.1 via m3asia.

see buntutman's phone loaded with X5.

Tried NDrive (original, demo version) on my stock Desire.

Not so great compared to Garmin. Satellite lock take abit time (but once its lock, all work fine). Map is not really up to date.

Overall: Usable but not great.

Papago M6/M7 only face for Taiwan local, it is Reversed Direction as they are Left Side Driving. You will face Counter-Clockwise when you drive through Round About.

Different M6 & M7, M6: only Potrait Mode, M7 both Potrait & Landscape.

However, M6 & M7 can mod the Map Header to use MFM map.

The only all suit to Malaysia is Papago X5.1 SEA version that is perfectly with the MFM map inclusive the icon in map.
And the lastest AUGUST version should be fixed for all High Range handphone.

It works perfectly on my Milestone.
The only down side is it can't rotate Landscape.

I'm not modding, just replace the header file that what they told for.
After a few while on M6/M7, I had removed them & back to Papago X5.1.

From the above post, the official Papago X5.1 for MY&SG already packed with MFM Map 100415 on Android.
These is the only version using the latest MFM map for Android.
