 Applying house loan

Is it true that those ppl who are aged 50 and above cannot apply for loan to pay the house?? Because my dad wanna apply loan to buy a single storey house.

its not totally impossible but subjective to loan amount and how much you got in account,

Easier to get loan if join name with a son or daughter.

can apply. up to age 65 most banks.

130K, so lets say the loan amount will be 120k, i don't think that it will be problem to get that much loan, how much he got in EPF,

havent combine with the epf and others savings yet. total i think almost reach 100k. if take out all of it, all the account dry liao. sad.gif

nightzstar, why not you and your siblings joint venture and purchase that house for your dad instead of him applying the loan.

The thing is, let your dad safe his earnings and EPF for his retirement instead of using them both to purchase that house.

If you joint name with your dad, please think carefully first that this is the property you want also. Buying property is a long term commitment, unless you are buying for investment and sell it off later.
