Here's some of modification that I remember.Credit to meLi,D4klar(maemo talk) & few others that I don't remember.
All the instructions are in zip files.

I'll start with the easiest way to mod which is with OpenSSH/WinSCP.

1)Install OpenSSH from app manager
2)Remember to set password for root when asked.If you forgot follow these step.
i)Open X-Terminal
ii)Press "sudo gainroot"
iii)Press "passwd"
iv)Set your password & exit
3)Download WinSCP from http://winscp.net/eng/download.php#googtrans/it/es
4)In order to connect N900 & PC/Laptop you should know your phone IP address.It can be done with X-Terminal.
i)Open X-Terminal
ii)Press "sudo gainroot"
iii)Press "ifconfig"


IP address is the 1 highlighted.
5)Run WinSCP
6)Your hostname is your IP address,username is root & password is the 1 you just set.
7)When you press connect WinSCP should show 2 window now.

Welcome video mod.
Frankly speaking I feel that Nokia only deserve 1/2 the credit for making this phone.I prefer maemo welcome video over default video.There are 2 welcome video inside.You can choose either 1.I'll update later if managed to find the maemo video.

Went to a Phone Shop Acc Shop in Subang Parade...looking for some accessories..For the N900...

He told me...This Phone Limited Edition Phone...Acc Susah mau cari....i got carry Leather Flip top Case and Cloth Cover only....Flip top Leather RM98....

And Dalam Malaysia got Only 400 Unit of N900 Only...

I think it's better if you remove the download link.
I encourage people to buy this game if you guys want it.The developer of this game already said that future of maemo games release depends on sales amount of Zen Bound & SPiN.
The project leader said as long as they break even with this games sales they'll countinue porting games for maemo.

All you guys have pay for this game is only RM8.Equivalent of 1 McD lunch only

@ahtiven: I get the feeling, but there's one more thing the N900 has over everyone else - the crap covered gem called Maemo. If only anybody could polish it to its fullest potential, that is.

It's the source of our misery and yet it's the greatest thing the N900 has going for it. How's that for ironic.

Like andy said, it's no common smartphone OS, and for that same fact (and the fact that the money-hungry idiots at Nokia decided that nobody needed a desktop OS on a phone, and thus left it to die) it will only appeal to a niche market.

I mean, can you do on-device QT development on any other device, I mean, fully? Write, debug, compile AND test. Can you emulate Debian on any other device? Can you run network testing (aka hacking) tools as efficiently on any other device? And not forgetting the old favourite: can you multitask better on any other device (and BTW, I HATE the Pre-aping card view task switcher style of S^3 and Meego). Can you draw with pressure sensitivity with any other device?

All these things make the N900 special. And sadly all of them ain't worth shit to the everyday smartphone user. Some of them aren't even worth crap to me lol.

My greatest hope is for the entire Source Code of Maemo could be made available (including the closed bits) so that finally, I can have a phone I have dreaming of for all my life - a phone that I can tinker with totally and fully, and make truly my own and nobody else's.

With that said, the Galaxy S Pro is very, very juicy device indeed. When OpenMaemo becomes a reality (and Android has still not achieved desktop class levels) I might just dual boot on the GSP.

And even worse, Samsung support/firmware updates have been known to surpass Nokia in terms of ineptitude.

Though by that time NITDroid would be fully mature and it could just dual boot Android 3 on the N900 lol.
