Very tired killing adamantortoise. So far manage to get only 24 plat ingots and 5 trapz.

I got 8 plat igots and 1 trapz already few tired. Using Death method.
Can share your faster way to kill the damn tortoise?
I tried using Fang as leader, stagger and highwind the leg, but all my character/healers die easily.

I use Fang (Gaian Ring, Genji Glove, 2x Power Glove), Vanille (Gaian Ring, 2 x Weirding Glyphs, Connoisseur Catalog) and Lightning (Gaian Ring, Power Glove, Weirding Glyphs, Collector Catalog) with tier 2 weapons + Fortisol. Aegisol may help too. All weapons & accessories at star level. I manage to kill Adamantortoise in around 2 minutes.

u need to have decent setup to kill the damn toise at a decent speed. some of the things u need is :-

Fang
Must have highwind, if possible max COM role
Have Protectra,Bravera,Faithra on her SYN role
Have all the strike ability from RAV role
MUST HAVE GENJI GLOVE FOR HIGHWIND TO BREAK THE STAGGER LEG INSTANTLY!

Sazh/Light/Snow - either 1 will do :-
Max com role or at least lvl4
Must have haste for SYN role (u can do without this but will force Fang to cast Haste on the party and slow down the kill and also your survivability)
Max Rav role
Have Imperil,deshell,deprotect on SAB role
Have CURA or CURAGA for MED role

Hope/Vanille
Have CURA or CURAGA for MED role
Have Imperil,deshell,deprotect on SAB role
Have haste for SYN role (if you have it here, then the above will be MED role)
Max COM or RAV role if possible

starts the fight with SYN/SYN/MED, having Fang cast haste+bravera on herself, then faithra+protectra on her teammate
switch to either RAV/RAV/RAV (if your party have high HP) or RAV/RAV/MED and stagger the leg
switch to COM/MED/MED and highwind the stagger leg, repeat the above and highwind the other leg
switch to SYN/SAB/SAB once the 2 legs been disable, casting bravera+faithra on everyone. wait till imperil,deprotect,deshell is stick on to toise head,
switch to RAV/RAV/RAV and get the stagger and up to 900-999%
switch to COM/COM/COM or COM/COM/RAV or COM/SAB/COM (only if you are using sazh or snow with daze, and the other COM prolly need another pair of genji glove to deal max dmg) and pummel him to death

you prolly need to have decent gears to and HP to withstand the toise stomp. get gaian ring if you are taking too much dmg or your HP is too low(you will need it later anyway to farm shalong gui anyway) and max tier2 weapon or close to max
i personally prefer fang/light/vanille cuz my light have axis blade upgraded and she has insane ATB bar recovery and Vannile has more HP than Hope. Vanille is a better choice also because all the mention role that is needed is her main role and her belonna wand makes the debuff easier to stack on the toise. but the choice is open, especially when u are near max when Hope will out damage Vanille cuz of his insanely high MAG. Snow is good too because of his high HP during your lower stat phase, but you will need to use MAG weapon for his MED role, also part of the reason I favor light.

Finally finish this game the 1st time lol

Anybody around Shah Alam / Puchong that oledi pass Chapter 9 Boss - Barthandelus..

i'll borrow you my PS3 set with the CD and please help me defeat this boss...

i oledi stuck there about 2 month...

oledi try various skill, the last one try, he give me doom...

i'm so depress now....

Start attacking from (your) left to right (Right Pauldron -> Left Pauldron). Keep Decimation set until all your party members have shell, then switch to Diversity and continue attacking from (your) left to right. This is because the Left Pauldron deals water-based damage, which your party will be most resistant to, giving your medic an easier job. Keep attacking, switching back to Decimation when shell wears off, and then back to Diversity. Be sure to only use these two paradigms as all the enemies attacks will be focused on one party ember at a time and you'll end up getting caught out without a medic. Barthandelus will cast Enchanted Veil (shell and protect) and Mystic Aura (Faith and Haste) on his armor during battle, you will just have to put up with it (with no sabetour). As I've said earlier, Barthandelus will increase his magic power, using Magic Amplification, periodically (every minute or so) so this is why you should focus on one piece of armor at a time, eliminating as many as possible before he reaches third level magic attacks. By this time only the Left Pauldron and Ailette should be left, dealing lightning and water damage. This part of the battle should only take you a few minutes.

do i need to upgrade the weapon 1st??

You do not need to upgrade your weapon throughout the whole gameplay. You can even defeat the last boss without upgrading your equipment one bit.

IMHO, upgradin them is to gain treasure hunter trophy

huh, it also hard to get stagger.....
almost got then he cast that deadly attack...
then how...
each attack can get around 500-800 damage only...

U re right bro. I'm also had to get 45 plat ingots just to earn Treasure Hunter Trophy + upgrade 3 weapons to tier 3 max. Not including to buy trapz & dark matter.

GAIAN RING! Thanks for the tips. With this equipped, my character won't die easily already. In case any character die, summon to bring him down and kill it.


Very useful tips and strategy there. I using Fang + Lightning + Vanille too.

Finally plat the game in 90 hrs.

man ayam very frustrated playing this game yesterday . still roaming at chapter 11 . and i hate that tomato big monster

I'm still at lvl 9 boss...When boss left 1/4 hp, he will auto 1 hit KO even got protect skill.

Does it really so hard? I finish plat it using Gamefag guide, if i remember correctly i equip each character an accessory to block Death 40%

hi all FFXIII players
im just got my disc and wanting to play it
but i heard that playing the game will crash your ps3 causing lens/laser failure

is it true? anyone experienced this b4?

First of all, i've played a fair share of FF13 and till now no problem. Believed alot of people have not encountered any while playing ff13 as well.

Then again, that depends on how long you use your ps3, if you play for long hours at a time, then for sure lens problem will have a better chance to occur. No matter it is ff13 or other games. Just my opinion

p.s: Advise to always remove disc from your ps3 when you turn it off, don't keep it inside your ps3.
