Based on the few trailers,i wouldnt wan to see another Final Fantasy XIII-3.I just wish they bring back the old classic Final Fantasy gameplay back to Final Fantasy XV.I miss the old summoning,3-4 party members controlling, more equipment to play with (not just weapon and accessories but also clothes, pants, gauntlets and so on),limit break, big world map with sidequests, hunting for ultimate weapon and so on sad.gif

This!, couldn't agree more..

my first thought of FFXIII at least can control 4 character during battle.. sadly only 3 same as ff7 / 8..  if can control 4(like ff9) (or swapping) like FFX would be great..

the graphic is superb, the storyline... images.. gestalt and eidolons also great.. but the game too simple lah... too straightforward

i need more free roaming style (FFVIII / FFIX) Style... can go from town to town... use airship / ships / trains  / any transportation , Tons of Side Quest and more GF / Eidolons...... Final Fantasy series  should at least played for 70 to 90 hours till we get bored or decide to end the game. rather than 20+ hours of game play.. and straight line game play.. from Point A to Point B.... at least give us some maze lah.. like ff8 (sewer's/ tomb of unknown king )  / ff10 (during yuna pilgrimage)

anyway this is my favourite song / theme from FFXIII

p/s : at least FFX is going to remake in HD version for PS3.. cant wait for it smile.gif

Glad to hear i am not the only 1 who thinks like that laugh.gif

Maybe they "changed" the style of Final fantasy xiii to create a "not another final fantasy game" and see the feedback of the people. Sometimes if the game dont change once in a while, it will become another CoD game. But hope they can revert back to the older FF series with better graphics and battle mechanism

Yea,i remembered they did it before with Final Fantasy VIII where they introduce the junction system. Then i heard the feedback is not that good, that's y they revert back the old system in Final Fantasy IX and X laugh.gif

U r so right,ApostLes.I still remember how happy it is to play for few hours and finally got the final ultimate weapon.I got so happy when i defeated the ultimate boss Ultima and Omega.I am so happy to play for more than 100+ hours just to get the best equipments for all my characters.

While i can say i will give 10/10 for both graphics and musics in Final Fantasy XIII,i certainly will only give 5/10 for the gameplay.Surely, the combat looks stylish and cool but when u played for a while,it's some repetitive shit.

Not to say there isnt any side quests like card games or chocobo racing in Final Fantasy XIII.And i pretty much miss those Eidolons.

Additionally,i miss talking to NPCs.I remember i talked to all of them pretty much in every town i went to biggrin.gif

Btw,I've seen too much epic technology era as the story background.I wish they bring back the old age where u can see some farmers...ppl riding horses...old castles...and so on.

Dont u all miss this? tongue.gif
Watch it

But based from the FF XIII-2 Trailer, I got a feeling that it is going to be the same as FF XIII

It's gonna be like that from what i've seen so far.

Graphics totally owns.Perhaps some might prefer linearity and the new combat gameplay.Somehow,I miss the old classic Final Fantasy turn based RPG gameplay smile.gif

Well,some like turn-based and some like action-based.

Nevertheless,I prefer turn-based.Why?Because it's Final Fantasy. If I wanna play action-based,FF Versus or Kingdom Heart.Turn-based RPGs r getting lesser and lesser. If Final Fantasy series r also looking away from it,then it's kinda disappointing.

But no,please dont make it like Dark Soul.Final Fantasy series have been always turn-based and we have no complaint about it coz it's good as the way it is.It's just like one day they make Devil May Cry series into a turn-based game. Not to say player wont accept it but it's out of the usual style. But as lilko says, most players will follow the trends since they only bother about the story and graphics.Perhaps the old timers like me will care whether it's turn-based or action-based laugh.gif

Btw,the customizing skill sets idea is good.I like FF XIII a lot.The graphics, the facial expressions, plot, background, sound track and style all combines into a perfect mix.Somehow the gameplay doesnt come to me.Mayb tat's just me as I am used to old style gameplay.

I think I read somewhere that they said the next Final Fantasy will be action rpg like Dark Soul is.Too lazy to search and post the source.  tongue.gif

Turn based rpg is still viable imo, but in forms of handheld games. nod.gif

For FF13-2 I hope we could customise the auto-action to some degree.
I get it that they wanted it to be fast paced, but its kinda lame that auto-command is fastest most of the time but you dont have full control of your actions.

You either get a little slow due to selecting manually or be fast by using auto-command thats hopefully in your favor.
Its especially true for buffing.

For example, you want to cast haste+bravera as fast as you can, but if you auto-command it, your character will use other spells like protectra or other crap first and if you cast manually, you also lose a significant amount of time (you could be faster).
And it doesnt help that some character dont have some buff spell, like enfire.Meaning that if you want to get buffed with enfire the fastest way possible, you need to use the character with the spell as main character cos if you dont, the AI is gonna spam his other buff spells before finally cast enfire.

I also wish that we could queue spells better, by letting players to customise the auto-command spells, and rearrange the spell sequence in the manual selection menu.
I mean, the only reason you casted late is because the position of the spells, and as you learn more spells, some spells takes longer to pick due to you need to scroll down the menu.
With customisable auto-commands, buffing and debuffing stage would be a hell lot easier and faster.

Well said!U simply pin point the main things Square Enix should improve in their current FF XIII-2 or the rumoured FF XIII-3.Tat's totally how i felt about the battle gameplay.
