i am at chapter 11 half way and i have mastered at least 2 CRYSTARIUM out of 3 for each char at level 4. the only cryst not full is also almost full. how many levels can a cryst go? max at level 4 only and start learning others cryst?
Max is 4 before you defeat the final boss. After beat the final boss, the cryst will expand to level 5.
1) DO NOT use highwind on a leg that is about to lift out. If you noticed properly, there are several swings that are carried out by Highwind. It's most likely that you perform Highwind when a leg is being lifted, hence causing some swing to miss.
2) If you're using Commando, make sure that your HP bar is at the green state bar. There's a passive ability for COM that will raise the ATK if the health bar is GREEN.
With STR > 2700, all you need was to stagger it and Highwind it. I normally Highwind AFTER either one of the leg had been lifted.
Actually my Highwind timing is refer the final hit on the Adamantoise after it fell down. You see the final hit of the second clip. It being killed even the HP was close to 50% HP, is that possible?
I tried so many times, never ever kill it with Highwind, when the Adamantoise still had close to 50% HP, even already 999% staggered.
Wow, you still on this meh? Still havent give up on the platinum arr????
Haha... Bro, I already platinum it last night. My first platinum. Told you I am going to make it before 22nd of June. But now seem like the Transformers got average rating from few players... So don't know worth to buy or not.

i need to maxed crytarium first....boss in side mission really mindfucuk............. 2 rektajiva .... n another boss zirnitra....
Tri Disaster going to be very useful to kill the 2 rek, no need to max all your crystalium also can kill, just max your 3 main roles. The final mission 64 much harder.
congrats, look like platinum need about 130hrs+ to get it i never able to kill adamantoise with highwind (although <50%hp left). i just use the cerberus & finish it in 90sec. no shrouds, just bahamut, debuf, rav till 999.9%.
My platinum was <130 hours, so I think is reasonable. Yeah, that is why I was so curious about the second clip, is it Japanese version has different difficulty compare to English version? You can Highwind to kill, but not when the HP is close to 50% HP, I tried a lot of times (because there are guides said can use Highwind once the HP just below 50% HP), for me was impossible.

It's a 3 hit attack with 999,999 dmg, though I'm not sure how he got 3 hit..normally I highwind at 40% right after snow cast daze on the tortoise (notice the tortoise is trashing around), that'll get my highwind to reach 2m dmg. Daze doubles the damage dealt
I doubt Daze is the trick, Daze will be gone once the target being hit by one of your member, and computer always do something, unless they wait for the ATB full, and Highwind had a little delay (your member will attack the target before your Highwind unless they are not in attacking mode) before hit on the target, so I doubt Daze is the trick to kill the Adamantoise even it had 50% HP.
Argh... nevermind, already got my platinum trophy, perhaps is the time for me to test if I really want to figure out or maybe anyone has better idea how it can be done.
There That was by no means perfect, lots of flaws with my attack synching but just to show you it's possible to hit 3x with daze on and almost 800k ea hit. With kaiser's glove and maxed kain's lance from dragoon it would've hit harder
I'll save mission 64 for later lol.
Weird...
My strategy: Fang/Lightning/Hope 1. Summoned Bahamut 2. Debuff Curse -> Slow -> Deprotect -> Deshell -> Imperil -> Curse/Daze (if the first Curse unsuccessful) 3. Shift Paradigm to Rav/Rav/Rav, and make Bahamut go away by pressing triangle button to use final act. 4. Hit Bahamut with Tri Disaster (Rav/Rav/Rav) 5. Shift paradigm to Sab/Syn/Syn, until 3 members buff with Haste again 6. Shift paradigm to Com/Rav/Rav, until it staggered. 7. Once the stagger reached 900 or just right after it staggered, shift paradigm to Com/Com/Rav 8. Then use Highwind when the HP reached almost 10%-20% of the HP bar to finish it off.
The point (18700 - 19000) is almost same with the strategy you used in the both clips, just that my Highwind cannot killed 50% HP, seem like Daze did increased the damage of Highwind.
I thought the point should be like the clip which posted earlier, >19000.
Probably gonna give a try on Snow's Daze + Fang's Highwind. Maybe this also can kill Long Gui much more easier.

guys....i was wondering can i buy Fortisol and Aegisol from the shops? im at chapter 12 now and it seems very hard to get Fortisol and Aegisol from a battle.
Don't waste money to buy Fortisol and Aegisol, unless you really really need it. If you have Shroud Catalog, maybe you can equipped to increase the drop rate.

Damn la.Why so hard to get random chain? I want kill this stupid Gigantuar!! 3 people use random chain also fail
Added on June 26, 2010, 5:23 pmYEAH!! I JUST KILL THIS OVERATED GIGANTUAR WITH 5 STAR!! ALMOST 2 HOURS OF TRYING,AT LAST GOT INSTANT STAGGER!! DAMN LONG!!
Congratz... This gigantuar surely is a hard one to kill.
i'm fighting orphan now...fight till i wanna puke d...always instant ko me..
Just changed to defense mode with 2 medic and cure as fast as possible when orphan start to use strongest skill. There is a little delay before he will cast the skill, sure able to change to defense mode to start curing, of course make sure you have the HP to absorb the attack first.
finally completed the whole game, for you guys who completed and continued playing to achieve all the trophies in the game..how long did it take you to get all the trophies?
is the lightning theme worth it which you will obtain after defeating orphan 2 with 5 star ratings?
Average 120-130 hours to obtain the platinum trophy. Anyhow there are people did it with less than 100 hours.
Lightning theme is really depend on personal preference, get it and install it, no harm if you don't want to use it, like the menu title, its extras. Personally I quite like the wall paper.
erh...so have to raise all la? thanks... chap 10 now..hard time fighting hopes eidolon.any tips..? seems hard when hope so low hp
Just max your CP on whatever MAIN roles you have at that point if you want to. You can also move forward even without max it.

Finally, just beaten Neochu yesterday night. Took me a couple of retries, spamming Death to it like there is no tomorrow. At first, after Neochu dies, I was a bit blur on beating the little Picohus, but luckily, I got back my senses & strategically beat them all.
Growth Egg is mine yahoo! Now, onwards to fully develop my characters, getting ultimate weapons, completing the rest of the side missions & possibly break my FFX gameplay record: total of 175 hrs of gameplay (currently FF13 at 91 hrs).
I believe you can break it. The average of plat FFXIII is around 100-130 hours.

shud i gain more rstogen for the party before the hope eidolon fight?hard time getting thorugh it
If not mistaken, Hope's eidolon shouldn't be that tough... just max your MAIN role for your character more than enough if you really can't beat it without max the CP.
Standard battle guide on Alexander (Hope's eidolon):
Paradigm Shift to Delta Attack the moment the battle begins, then go straight on the offensive. As soon as anyone's HP falls below 50%, switch to Combat Clinic. Hope and Lightning can heal the party within seconds. Now return to Delta Attack to resume the offensive. You may need to make the switch between the two Paradigms several times over the course of the encounter, with Alexander yielding when the Doom counter reaches approximately 300. Hope will receive the Alexander Eidolith and the much-needed boost of an additional ATB gauge segment

Guys, what do you think of farming CP by beating either Cactuar Prime (under 3 min) & double King Behemoths (under 2:50 min) repeatedly?
Cactuar Prime will net you 15k (30k if you have Growth egg equiped) & 8k (16k with GE) for the Behemoth King.
I felt so boring keep on killing the the Megisthorian vs Behemoth King that only nets you 6.6k (13.2k with GE). After all, I need to jalan2 also, take nice view of Gran Pulse & eat heavy duty monsters for picnic.
Go for Adamantoise at Eden Hall. You can farming CP, Platinum Ingots (Gils) and Trapz together, very easy to kill, and short distance to respawn.

How much gils do you need for treasure hunter anyway? Without the selling, get trophy and reset trick..
Roughly 10,000,000 gils, recommend you to sell some of the extra accessories when you are upgrading weapons, make the process faster. What do you mean by reset trick? There is no reset trick that will help gain more gils... Do you mean something like save and load again to kill Adamantoise at Eden Hall? Actually this is optional, you no need to save and load again, just run back into the gate at Eden Hall, and then come back out again, the Adamantoise will be respawn. If this is what you mean by reset trick.

Nah the trick where they sell all weapons, including upgraded ones..Then use the money gained from selling to buy/upgrade the other weps/accs until you get trophy.
After that reload so the trophy stays but the sold weapons are back in ur inventory.
Haha.... ok. Not really necessarily do that... No fun at all like that...

Anyone have any guide on how much experience is needed for each weapon to level up to star? Loosing too much stuff at the moment because of upgrading and need a much better guideline on how to do it efficiently. And whats the best weapon for each character?
If you are not at Chapter 11 or beyond chapter 11, don't bother to upgrade weapons to star. There were people finished the story without upgraded weapons.
Every time you upgrade weapon, first upgrade it to have multiplier x3 by using Organic Components, then use the best Electronic Components to 1 time upgrade to star, of course this might need some calculation, else you can refer to the general upgrade guide at page 1. Remember save it before you upgrade, you can try with the best combination to save your resources.

At chapter 7 now. When's the best time to start upgrading weapon/accessories and should start with which item first?
No need to upgrade any weapons until the last chapter also can. Just finished the story then only upgrade also can. If you really want to upgrade, go for it at chapter 12 and upgrade weapons enough, accessories only upgrade if you need the next level accessories power, so that you can kill boss faster and no need to play tortoise strategy... I heard people using poison to kill the final boss just for the sick of finish the story first...
Wow...How do i get a chocobo then Only after end of game?
Just finish the story first, then you will find it interesting when you trying to 5 stars all the mission. Those missions much more harder and challenging compare to the final boss.
Mission 7 at Yachas Massif - Paddraean Archaeopolis there, walk futher into that map, then you will found it, just nearby the mission 6 cie'th stone.

Thanks. Is the monster the BIG vocanic type monster roaming around GranPulse? Cause i tried to find him but cant seem to have access. Guess i need to max out my weapons and crystarium first then. Dont feel wanna end the game too early
That big volcanic monster location can only be accessed by a chocobo, the entrance is nearby the 6 cie'th stone location.
You can ride on chocobo after you completed mission 14.
