There was a gathering of team leaders a while ago to discuss where the COD4 community is headed.

If you want the international news for COD4 you can go to www.tek-9.org. Things are starting to get interesting with new maps like mp_smalltown and mp_dahman made specially for COD4 Promod I've already had sneak peaks in the maps and was around when they beta testing was going on. A lot of other crazy stuff has been happening to, Blackmane is back. Pure Gaming is back too. I wish I lived in EU to be part of all of that though. Community there is huge.

By the way, they are planning to. The have done few tourneys like MAA, FFA and sabotage tourneys. But the result is, you see how many players and teams join? If they make another tourney with few teams, no point to do it anyway. Just like espgl is trying to do. Actract more people to come and join the tourney but the results still the same as last time. Every tourney, you will see same face, ESP, SWL, FFF, and coop. This is happen since 2008. I can count using my finger how many new teams join since that time. Most of the teams just joined, lost, then give up. Never ever try to commit and improve it. They just joined for fun only.

Now you try count how many teams will join for next tourney. For me, i think its hard to get 16 teams. Maybe around 10 to 12 teams only.

Come to me with 16 teams, and we'd just do the same thing....there are already a number of people able to run the double elim system...

Come to me with 16 teams ++++ and RM 20k, wow we could actually get maybe bimonthly tournaments (with real money) and a league (with cash prizes) running throughout the year as well.

But sadly. I wonder where all the new teams have gone to =(... And community run events have no budget to start with =(...

Then go ahead and make a tournament, it's easy to ask why there are no news on any upcoming tournaments, but it ain't easy to organize one.

You for one, are the one complaining. I don't see any other threads complaining why aren't there tournaments being organized. If you think it's so easy to get sponsors and organize a tournament, by all means, go ahead and do it. You guys always say there's no tournaments, but when there is, where were you guys? Got tourney no support, no tourney then complain.

dont worry, i heard the guys at spotgamers.com are planning for a cod4 revival..

there is none. and why do you need msia cod4 news? does it make you play better? no money = no tourneys = no news. that's what happened to espgl.
