got dutied for a piece of bag? I am bringing in cap ayam bags for iPad in case anyone interested ... expecting to have them in a couple of days. Much less than that price

I don't really favour the colour too, but that's the only colour the supplier has at the moment. Identical but different in quite a number of places, like the paddings, non-removable strap (I think) etc.

Its from Exco, an Chinese bag manufacturer. I read somewhere that Jusco is one of their clients but not sure if you can find this bag in Jusco. But you can notice that the design closely resembles STM Scout (which is what a lot of chinese manufacturers do) but a fraction of the cost. I will be posting them up for sale soon.

Oooo ... that is not a sleeve. Its an iPad 2 folio type PU leather case/rotatable stand (check my signature). Or are you referring to the padded space in the bag?

2. Marware Microshell Folio iPad 2 case

Lots of magnets at the right edge but apparently only one of them is for the sleep/wake function

If you refer to a strap to go around your wrist while holding the iPad, then only Moshi Concerti for original iPad has it. They have done away with that clip-on strap in the iPad 2 version since most people don't have need for it. If you refer to something like a hand pocket / strap to slot you hand into for one hand secure holding of the iPad, then yes, concerti for iPad original & 2 has it.

I found a better and cheaper alternative to the Ten One Design's Fling. A manufacturer in China took the idea and make it better. Its called Fly Fish (designed by Vogoge HK). Was planning to bulk some of these but haven't had time to get around to do it:

Its not exactly a clone ... The Fling clone looks exactly like Fling down to the packaging but function terribly (believe me, I tried it). This is a redesigned product, borrowing the same idea but enhances it. Fling could only be a d-pad but not a action button. The material is also different, the spiral thing on the Fly Fish is soft rubber. (Here is a link to their site but the English is really bad -> http://www.vogoge.com/) Price wise, selling about USD15 each. I think its worth a try.

Found an alternative to the Otterbox Defender case for the tough all-round active protection of iPad 2. Otterbox has been known to adding a lot of bulk and weight to the iPad but this one only weights about 3.5oz. Its the Seidio Active Case for iPad 2.

Actually the difference that make up the Watts here is not the voltage ... its the Current.
(Physics 101: P(Watts)=V(Volts) * I (Amperes))

For most cell phones, PDAs and small mobile devices, they charge well simply with 5V and 1A or less. Even at 500mA (USB port), which is 0.5A, it can charge iPhone without problems, maybe a bit slower. But 500mA would not charge iPad. The recommended current for iPad is 2.1A (which gives the power of 10W) and hence the official charger has this rating. 1A will barely charge iPad. So if you are looking for chargers for iPad (whether wall or car), make sure its about 2A.

Just to add on about charging iPhone with iPad charger ... its perfectly fine ... voltage is more of the key here to blow something up

Yes, very slowly with the standard USB and with the condition iPad is in sleep mode or turned off. If turned ON, it may retain charge but not much actual charging will occur. If running intense application, it may even discharge a bit (demand greater than supply).

Firstly iPad doesn't have built-in USB port. Secondly, even if you do use a usb (camera) kit, iOS does not support 3G usb dongle. And the usb on the camera kit does not provide enough power for the USB dongle.

Therefore, your solution is to get a Mifi device, or a portable wifi hot spot that support your 3G usb dongle. These devices have built-in battery, hence self powered.

Pros: light, slim, requires no power and cheap. Cons: no extra real estate or viewing area and only works in landscape mode.
