QUOTE(ThunderGod_Cid @ Jul 10 2010, 10:14 AM) No offense, but all the mods you did are not really useful. Changing to iridiums, do you feel a difference? steven.. care to comment? As mentioned, LCP gives minimal results Plug cables - Any reason for changing? Cam pulley - any difference after installing? 421 - Understandable EVERYONE will ask yo to do an ECU reflash : KilleRom Street aKa StreetRom (Stage 1) - Power enhance above 3k RPM (ignition timing and AFR) -Removed Speed Limit (default is 184km/h +/- 10% + 10km/h tolerance on the speedometer) -Higher REV limit 7500 Rpm (does not mean you need to rev all the way) KilleRom Ultimate (Patch) Stage 2 - Power Enhance from low range, more linear power till 7500 RPM - Enhanced Ignition Timing and AFR MAP - Open Loop mode on demand (TPS controlled instead of load) - Removed Speed Limit (default is 184km/h +/- 10% + 10km/h tolerance on the speedometer) - Higher REV limit 7500 Rpm (does not mean you need to rev all the way) - Improved fuel consumption (depend on how you compensate your drive) Pricing: 1st Stage Reflash comes with Stage 1 rom which is KilleRom Street + Sensor calibration and reseting stepper motor. RM750 2nd Stage Upgrade to KilleRom Ultimate RM150 would a stock waja with its restrictive 4-1 extractor/catcon and over efficient oem air filter do better after flashing then let say, a waja with performance exhaust setup + performance air filter? (lets just stick to the basic mods) interested to find out.. |

QUOTE(ThunderGod_Cid @ Jul 10 2010, 11:16 AM) jerry : thanks Then how can you say wanrayz mods are really not useful?reef : Before reflashing, the difference between an open pod and oem air filter may be only 1hp. But witt reflashing done, the difference between an open pod and oem air filter may be 5hp. As for exhaust, please refer to steve as i'm suffering from information overload After those mods AND a reflash, wouldnt he score higher in a dyno test compared to using stock parts of the waja + reflash? no? |

just my 2 cents..
low budget improvements.. - change to performance brake pads - upgrade to steel braided brake hoses when have more money.. - change to twin pot brake, servo, pump (evo1-3) also brakes alone doesnt help you stop quick, but also what tyres you use and the size of the contact patch between your tyre and road.. wider tyre gives more grip during braking, some better tyres are made with better compounds that helps braking by maintaining certain operating temperatures at high speed (read this from michelin's website if i'm not mistaken).. when was the last time you services your brakes? bleed your brake fluids? oem brake pads? what brand/series of tyre do you use? met steven tonite and flashed my waja..
the result? for normal driving i can say that the engine is more relaxed but the power is always there.. when i tried drag at 2nd gear(my waja is auto) from stop position, the power is awesome but my car is all over the place.. i feel like a cowboy riding a mad bull! definitely need to upgrade to better suspension, tires, rims and driveshaft(mine already bengkok!!) for better handling with all that power.. right now everything is stock 100% =P |
