im a noob and juz recently been google-ing alot about androids phones. smile.gif
im looking forward to have one of HTC androids phone as my sis will buy it for me from ebay UK.

first issue:phone
im interested in HTC Legend.but there are other choices :

1.HTC Hero
2.HTC Desire
3.any other suggestion?

which one do ur think is the best in price-wise?as i find their spec is about the same.

second issue:warranty

did HTC cover the warranty for their phone worldwide?
as i've mention before.the phone will be buy from UK.and I will use it in M'sia.
my sis can check the phone first as she already been using htc phones.but im afraid that any problem will arise later.

third issue:charger
i've been told that m'sia & UK electric power supply is different.
so can i use the supplied phone charger by UK phone retailers in Msia?

can someone expert or have been in my situation answer my issue.
Thank You

Yes it is. We do follow the brits after all.

As for your choices, its somewhat obvious. Desire would be the best since it is the newest and best of all the three. google around the spec and I'm sure you'll know what I mean.

I own a Hero, but I think the Legend is better. Aluminum build. I also think Android Market comes by default and no need to root. The Hero I bought had SlideME instead of Market and I had to root plus install a custom rom to get it.

If you decided on HTC brand and want to buy now, there's two only best choices for you.
Desire or Legend.

I used to be a Legend user, now a Desire user. I have to say that I'm much happier with the Desire than the Legend. Because of the speed and screen , dont miss the build quality. More to that you only pay abit more for the Desire. If you look around the media/forums/websites on Android, they seem to put more focus on the Desire than the Legend. This will affect support, tips/tricks, app mods, and accesories.

Why not Nexus One (or Two when it's release), Samsung Galaxy S, HTC Vision (rumoured to have Desire's spec with a physical QWERTY) ?

Nexus One is by itself, was the first high end phone by Google themself. Hence there is a strong users for this phone, however since it was not available by cariers and only able to get it via the internet (before they closed the on-line store). Then again, I was comparing between Legend and Desire and not Nexus One.

very simple, countless debates over the internet.

Nexus One will get updates (such as FroYo) much quicker than the HTC Desire. HTC Desire have more candy-eye and usability with Sense UI embedded on-top of the stock Android OS.
