Here's the situation. I kinda locked my Vios with the normal alarm button which is attached with my keys. But later when I came back, I'm unable to unlock my car. The 'car lock/unlock button thing' that is attached to my key doesn't seem to function. So, I had to put the key and open the door manually. And there went the alarm. vmad.gif

I couldn't find any alarm deactivating button in the car, neither could I start the car engine. I know that Proton cars have a button inside. You just have to put in your car key, turn it on, and press the button and the alarm goes off.

Any idea on how do I solve this problem with Vios? icon_question.gif

I think there is a special black key
to turn the alarm off. Check if you still have
the key or not. Alternatively you can try putting your car to acc mode then off the repeat the cycle 7-10 times till you hear a sound. Else I think you will need the special key that came with your car to
disarm it. I know my Toyota does come with
one.

your remote control lost memory already, need to reset it again. I face this problem also after half year used my vios 07.
Get your 2nd key and user manual for vios alarm, it got step by step how to add on again your remote to your car alarm.
One more thing, if the remote control lost memory already is no way to deactivated the alarm coz if wan deactivated the alarm need separated u key and remote control, insert the key and turn on it, then put your remote at the yellow sticker at the right of your dashboard (only open the door then u can see it), so if the remote control lost memory, no way to deactivated it.
the toyota SC technician tell me that don't press the remote continuosly too fast if cannot lock o unlock, it will cause the signal crash then made the remote control lost memory... dun know true or not... sweat.gif sweat.gif

if not mistaken u can deactivate it by using the key with the immobilizer isn't it??? asked the SC Advisor already most of them said so...

Open the Door with ur Key... then Touch the Immobilizer/Touch Key on the touch pad... it will disable ur alarm... that is for Vios old model for new model pls call SC to verify...

This kind of problem happened to me last 3 days. The problem solved after reading comments from here. My Vios 04 is using COBRA alarm with immobilizer (black color), both of my remote was not functioning. What did I do to disarm my cobra alarm, I just unlocked the door using key manually. Once I opened the door, the alarm is automatically triggered. Then I turn on the ignition key and let all the lights on my dashboard are off after few seconds, then I touched the immobilizer on its pad. It worked to disable the alarm. I called Cobra TTDI, they said no need to duplicate the remote. Just bring it to their centre then they will repair. It will be cheaper than duplication. I will bring it to them soon..
