i think it's unfair for max users who switched to beyond just 6 months ago and are denied the new pvr for free. I still have my max since i opted to pay for installation when i fixed beyond, but cs says nothing doing...still have to pay 300 bucks!! A huge load of bullshit if you ask me and typical kampung mentality of a so called international broadcaster!! I'm making a report at the consumer tribunal in the morning on this issue. At least astro should provide the pvr for free for those who still keep their max decoders. Astro = monopoly=unethical practices!!

my byond pvr was installed this morning. took them only about an hour for installation and to pull an additional coaxial cable to the new pvr. Software updated, smartcard activated and everything is ok so far. Tried recording 2 channels simultaneously and it worked flawlessly. Happy byond pvr user so far.
p.s. i have no such issues like someone earlier was complaining about the screen ratios. I have pillar box, stretch to screen and lb expand.

bro justin, i'd like to request that the channel info behaviour for byond and byond pvr be changed. Currently, when we're on the channel banner, pressing a channel number changes the tv to that channel as opposed to the previous astro decoders which just change the banner info screen. That was a real neat feature and i don't know why it wasn't absorbed for use in the byond decoder. It's tiresome to scroll through so many channels to get the info currently. Kindly take this suggestion to your tech team. Thanks and regards

and for all of those who are b****ing about the new FX HD channel, get a life guys, it's been less than 12 hours since the broadcast started...and besides, it is listed as a preview channel. Give them some time, and all will be fine!
