byond box does not pass through channel's original resolution

so lets say byond box is set at 1080i, SD channels with 576i will be upscale to 1080i

for 720p setting, 576i I guess will be de-interlaced to 576p, then upscaled to 720p, a 2-step processing by the byond box

no need for rocket engineer only needed kindergarten maths, astro's capacity to broadcast can be easy calculated, astro currently paying for 6 transponders aboard satellite measat 3A, and each transponder is capable of broadcasting 5 HD channels

I think writesimply got equipment to measure astro satellite signal bitrate, may be he can measure SD channels bit rate before and after World cup channels are gone

looks like byond recording still in alpha test, not yet ready for prime time

I am having an audio discontinuity problem at channel 314, sound will pause momentary at random interval , very annoying, does this has anything to do with the byond decoder? sound for all other channels are good
