You need a 3DTV with active glasses.

Astro does not have any rights to broadcast to a cinema. If this is to be shown in GSC then GSC have to get the rights and they have to organise how the feed is delivered to them.

if you just turned on the decoder it can take several minutes to cache the first load of the EPG. It scans from channel 101 down from the first available time slot ie 101 - 1pm, 102 - 1pm 103 -1pm etc then it goes back to the top and scans the next time slot.

if your decoder is on it is not an issue it is only when you turn the power off and on again.

you can manually record anything by using the TV Guide to highlight a show. Series linking will be ready very soon.

The Astro world cup promo is mixed in 5.1, I think you need to tweak your HT audio levels a bit. pulled down the surround channels a bit. It sounds fine and level with other promos on my system.
I do notice jumps between studio and commercial breaks but not jumps inside the commercial break.

Haha, I don't know mate. I need to repeat that I'm not part of that side of the business and I have no knowledge of things like that until they get announced to the public.

You asked about series links and WHEN? Most channels should be operational by August. Some channels/programs are already working.

Ep & series numbers will be coming too.

We could manually write them into the synopses or choose the more commonsense and less time consuming method of mapping the data from the source files to the synopsis field. We have choosen the later approach but it does mean making sure that channels that have been delivering data for over 15years in a rather basic format need to change what they deliver to us and on our side we need to map fields correctly and interrogate the data accurately.

Literally until 1 month ago we had no means of doing this until a new software solution was employed. For the first time in Astro's existence we have created a team dedicated to the EPG. I still have a vacancy so DM me if you honestly think you can become part of the solution.

Those glasses will not work on a 3DTV.

It is not about glasses being compatible with Astro B.yond it is about glasses being compatible with the 3D TV brand.

You saw the screen shot above of what the broadcast looks like on a normal TV. it comes out as a left right split screen, no glasses no matter what you do will ever make that into a 3D image. It MUST be viewed on a 3D TV and with the right glasses that suit that TV brand.

Your hard drive is full and your PVR is set to "Auto" which will delete the first recorded programmes so to free up space for the latest recorded programmes.

"Lock" the show in the planner section to keep it and change your PVR settings (Home>Settings>Your Settings) to Warning or Manual.

2)I've just series linked CSI on AXN HD and after cross checking with AXN's website the B.yond decoder correctly selected the 5 times in the next week that a new ep is broadcast and has not selected any repeat screenings. Perhaps the synopsis is misleading as it is still generic. We are working to get much more episode specific synopses.

Series links works by putting a unique ID against every episode of a series. If the decoder notices the same ID it knows it is the same episode and it will not record that unless the first attempt at recording failed.
When series links was first released I was not able to get episode specific information from a lot of the channels and the result was the IDs where triggering records of repeats.that lasted 1week, Today if I can't get the specific info from the channel then we will not enable a series link for that show. This is why it is still not available on all series programs yet, where it is available it will record the new episodes only and not record the same episode over and over.

Series link is a set and forget thing on B.yond. On max it did not exist at all. All you did was schedule a recording to happen at a time of you choosing. It was not linked to the Programme at all and essentially it was doing what a VHS recording would do, if you remember them?
On B.yond if the show moves slot the series link will know and record the show from it's new time slot without you needing to worry.

Btw you said earlier

That translates to a 16:9 show letterboxed for a 4:3 signal. There is no broadcast format that is both 16;9 and letterboxed
