If Astro wants to broadcast all 380 BPL matches live, isn't that good news? I can live with Dasey and without the ESPN pre-match shows but I'm sure we will still get to watch shows like Football Focus and err..Jamie Yeo?

The thing is Astro seems to have backtracked on what they said back in November2009 after winning the EPL rights..back then it was said they would show all 380 matches Live..but now it seems that they say all 380 will be available not saying that its Live..yeah its no big deal but thats a big thing to backtrack on..

Jamie Yeo can pronounce players and club names well..she corrected the other fella on Football Crazy many times..the thing is whoever Astro will select to be their lady on the shows will only now about Man U, Beckam, Ronaldo and Torres..

I can understand your predicament. However, do remember that when Astro first started it was also an in-house presentation and matches were shown live almost to the seconds. When ESPN took over, matches were delayed for at least 3-5 minutes due to the censoring of certain advertisements by Astro. So, I suppose by taking over again, Astro is able to take control again which they were not able to with ESPN.

OK, the core of your argument is about the in-house team of presenters. I can understand that also and feels ESPN is way better. I really hope Astro would be able to engage good pundits but it seems we may be stuck with the pundits features during the just concluded World Cup. Cottee and Sharpie are OK but Abbas and the rest are craps. Serbie, who was not featured at all during the WC, has his critics but his comments and knowledge of the game is way ahead of some, if I may say so. Still, it doesn't matter much as long as we are able to watch the games live although we might not get the commentary feed from Sky Sports which means no Andy Gray. What we could get is the alternative commentary feed from UK. As long as the "heavy breather" commentator is not featured then it's OK.

i agree with u that astro does relay the transmission quite faster than ESPN..thats a total positive I think..

yup..my core argument are the presenters..n not only that I do hate how the presenters discuss..look at the World Cup..at half time, they were only talking about what was on the screen instead of giving other analysis..it was a total ship wreck..n dont get me started on the Roshan guy..my goodness..he look scared like a little girl asking the questions..when he was doing outdoor reporting, mostly he was screaming and shouting..put him in the studio, and baaamm..can barely hear his voice..

Shebby was on duty with ESPN during World Cup but I doubt if he will be on Astro..he's better than what we have..Cottee will be be back in the Uk doing match commentary..who are we left with? Yeah..some low rate pundits..n just wait till astro calls up some fans from fanclubs of the teams to be a guest..owwhhh this does not look good..

PLEASE GOD LETS US HAVE MARTIN TYLER AND ANDY GRAY PLUS OTHER SKY SPORTS COMMENTATORS!

Thank god I cut off sports pack,and now knowing its Assto presenters (the one with a goats beard especially) I am not regretting at all !

I think you really need to contact astro again. Asked them to send the installer to your house.

Your problem seems really serious ... picture become pixelite all over the time.. OMG! It sure can interrupt your viewing....

Asked them to check back all of your equipment, align again the dish and probably your LNB, wire, or decoder got problem...

For 7 months I have used Byond, so far, I haven't faced that kind of problem yet.....

I think Abbas Saad not that bad lor. Sure Cottee better, but I think comparable with Sharpe.

yeah..abbas saad is not that bad..he's also regularly called up by ESPN so that means something..
in fact all of astri geusts are pretty reasonable..
its just the host or oreseneters from astro that are crap except for Jason Dasey..
Roshan, Rashid Salleh, Pedro, Jay Menon, the chinese lady from the World Cup..imagine them doing EPL coverage..
Just watch Nadi Arena (Astro's own Sportscenter) 730pm every weekdays to see how bad their presenting are..

The locals must talk and behave like locals dont perasan, when u perasan u are screwed just look at the screwed up deejays we hv!! Talk complete c... somemore with slang , come on you are msianlah!!

your signal quality for that particular transponder is really low, you suppose to have 100% signal quality

your dish seems to be shifted, did you touch your dish at all during these 7 months?

is your cable going directly from dish to decoder, or does it go through some sort of devices such as in-line amplifier or splitter?

what you can diy is re-tighten all the F-connectors, and if you are game enough re-align the dish yourself or ask astro authorised installer to re-align the dish for you, but you will have to pay them may be RM50

have you re-tighten all the F-connector, including the one on the LNB?

if still no help, you can rotate the LNB to get maximum signal, but mark the LNB position before making the adjustment either in clockwise or anti-clockwise rotation

i remembered seeing the last episode of last season's Football Focus and they all recount back the 8 years memory of the show as if that was their last show ever...

i guess it was but never thought BPL package would be taken out of ESPN completely.

just save the in-match commentators please.... or just replace them with the champion's league ones...

Err..i dont think BPL is taken out from the ESPN lineups just that the feed to Astro will not contain any BPL matches. Just like Singapore last season when they did their own in-house pre-shows and all. I do sincerely hope that shows like Football Focus would be retained.
