It is not working on Computer 3D monitor as PC one need additional Nvidia 3D vision to be plug into PC..

The only working with ASTRO 3D is those 3D LCD/Pasma TV by Samsung, Sony,etc..Which using 'RealD Technology'

Anyone notice that the Commentator in the FINAL MATCH of SPAIN vs HOLLAND in 3D channel and HD channel is different?

Also, anyone notice that some camera view is different also in 3D and HD?

The spider cam top view camera was upscaled.

On my normal HDTV it sounded different but dont know on 3d TV

Had a few problems with the rewind live tv function, when it got stuck a few times. But after rebooting the box and unplugging/replugging the HDD, it works fine now. So far it's stable. The recording function works like a charm. I just schedule all the recordings before going to work or going to sleep. When I'm back after work all the programs are ready, and I can skip all the commercials.

For the rewind live tv, the buffer only starts when u tune to that channel. So no, you cannot rewind till the beginning when you have just tuned in.

No, I don't have a 3DTV but i was curious and changing between these 2 channels for a while during the Final match yesterday.

I noticed:

1. Commentator in HD channel was a different person in 3D channel.

2. Sound in 3D channel on my HD Plasma TV sounded like in more stereo and more clearer than in HD channel.

3. Some screen in 3D channel was different in HD channel at the same time. For example, in HD, when the screen showing a player injured lying in the field and then I change to 3D, it showed other view but then when I switched back to HD, it still showing the player lying in the field.

Also, the 3D was with SONY branding........Asstro promoting SONY?

Some of you just like to talk kok and sing song. Cancel the HD service by all means, nobody forced you to subscribe in the first place. I do not know what all the fuss is in the first place. Sure, paying an extra RM20/month might seem a little steep for some of you especially if you are currently only subscribing to Astro's basic package. When Astro first started, many were complaining that they were not given a choice over which channels they want. So Astro came out with the many packages currently which you can upgrade and downgrade anytime albeit with some penalty if you downgrade. Sure, we are not able to pick channels individually. Yeah it sucks but fact is, all of you do have a choice. Fact is, pay TV is here to stay and by definition, you will have to pay for extra services. Why did you buy a HDTV in the first place if you are not prepared to embrace HD? I'm prepared to pay whatever I can to enhance my viewing experience which was the reason for me to get a HDTV in the first place. Maybe I can afford it and some of you can't. Why blame Astro? It's like blaming someone or something when a guy is driving a BMW and you're not.

AFAIK, with the current package of Dynasty and mini package of Movie, Sports, Learning & Variety, one can continue enjoying all the HD channels on offer now. It's worth paying an extra RM20 just to enjoy football matches and other sports in HD. Whether that fee will increase in the future or not is irrelevant. Premium products require premium prices. Be prepared to pay for it or well...there's the basic package.

i dont mind actually n donno if assthrow can bring BBC HD......its juz dat i hope assthrow can make a HDchannel only package for the customer like me to subscribe

they should let customer be able to customize their own package.....this shoulda bn made long time ago but after so many years they still bombard us with packages with unwanted channels.....

if they can really tailor made packages according to customer they wouldnt hv to bring until 85channels to us

they want to sell but they fail to know what we want n instead put so much channels so as to create value when the reality is that no one really watch over 10channels

this is why i discontinue my astro 2years ago;plus i hv unlimited downloadable drama series for me to watch at that time so i choose wht i want to watch

now since astro hv Byond i really like to subscribe to astro since i love watching the learning channels n its in HD

problem is that astro package structure still makes me feel cheated since i hv to take channels i dont watch

so i hope in the future assthrow will make us customer be able to customize n choose in detail which channel we would want to subscribe.............coz in business the customer is always RIGHT

this is a problem if some of company given monopoly.... they can do anything they want....its ok, we wait somedays when IPTV already stable in this country... and that moment buybye asstro, we got another choice

We thought TM wld be a threat but we were all wrong TM cld be a flop, so I dont see any changes in the near future assto wld rule Malaysia ! Hopefully the politics change and lets dream selangor and penang allow dishes !

about the choice to customize individual channels?
- don't think will happen anytime soon. all other countries have similar practice.

However, Astro should consider repackaging them in some ways, examples are:

1. Make some of the channels available as standalone although at a slightly higher price (eg. RM8 - RM20)
This can be for a number of channels eg. NHK, Discovery Turbo, HBO, WLT
2. Create a HD all-in package at a price like RM60
3. Create mini-HD packages (2 - 3 HD channels)

But I think the most important thing is to further improve the overall picture quality of Beyond subscribers for the SD channels.
I thought it can be done by switching the encoding engine?
This would definitely help to keep the customers who just bought the HDTV to enjoy better pictures with Beyond. HD and non-HD channels.

All in all, Astro should start the communication plan on what's next after the World Cup fever is over.....
