I'm glad to hear that Astro Byond decoder has the capability to deliver 3D content although I don't plan to jump to 3D given the high cost.

I like at the end on 3D WC final promo, they mention "for future, maybe".

People boycott B.yond because there's not enough HD channels. Astro does not increase HD channels because people boycott B.yond.

no one cares about astro's 3D broadcast, it has no significance to us, what we want right now is more HD channels

I agree that we want more HD channels but I disagree on the "no one". I care because it means current B.yond and PVR decoders show that Astro can make it happen. To a degree, adding more HD channels don't require additional hardware for Astro. Knowing that they can do 3D HD means that Astro is at the leading edge of HD broadcasting. So when they do add more HD channels, they can choose to include HD and 3D HD channels.

don't know whether it is byond box or satellite feed problem, but channel 314 got annoying and very noticeable sudden discontinuity in audio lasted for about half a second, just like astro digital radio simulcast on FM frequency which sometime got similar audio pause when heard in car radio

this 3d thing astro is doing is to show what they can do with the hardware they have la..... nothing more. to be the first. maybe also to retain sports subscriber from cancelling their sports subscription. if you noticed, the astro byond ad has changed from lampard & messi to torres.. and at the end, with logos of other sports broadcast, eg. EPL, Serie A and many others... retention...

Astro 3D reminds me of TV3 "plain" 3D altough the technology to watch is way different.
