i want the sound from my LCD, not HT.

I dont wan to always on my HT when watching astro.

hope someone can have the solution
*
maybe it's your tv setting. check your tv settings at the sound/audio part. HDMI audio = Digital/analogue

this setting is available on my panny plasma.

So this means that byond/PVR does not actually off itself even on standby. It is still receiving and is decoding. This also explains the heat the units are producing and the instant on. This also explains the higher electricity bill..

Can someone post the electricity consumption in idle/standby and on?

How much did you guys pay for the WD 320GB External HDD for Byond? I was quoted 400+. I think it's too much.

you only use single wire meh?????  blink.gif
Hoe come my PVR cannot use single wire at all?????
*
I think htc's installation is using splitter, 1 cable in, 2 cable out, but only work for all SD or all HD

work exactly like dual tuner max which only required single cable, but max has internal splitter

use 3rd party "illegal" 8 ft dish, 15K C-Band LNB and HD decoder (you can use Dreambox HD decoder).. tongue.gif
point the dish to Asiasat 5..,
and you are TVRO ready.... thumbup.gif
Oh, before that, make sure the footprint for that channel, is that available in Malaysia or not....
And if the program are encrypted, sorry to say..... you still can't receive it... rolleyes.gif

yeah, that's C-Band...
Not effected at all by rain like Astro....
you can use 5ft or 6ft dish instead, but bigger size dish will give you better signal...
That's why Astro use Ku-Band.., it's more easier to set up and more affordable...
And also, to prevent the user from tune to C-band satellite.... biggrin.gif
If you go to Sabah, Sarawak, Indonesia, Thailand, there are many big dish on top of their house...

just to clarify,

My astro dish is black byond, but i only subscribe for normal astro. So if I were to upgrade to byond, the installer won't have to change the dish right?

Thanx
*
I changed to new PVR but didn't subscribe to HD. When we upgrade to HD, just call customer and activate it.

Don't have to change dish anymore.

Mine also experienced the same ting yesterday after the heavy rains. It said invalid smartcard for channel 832 (Supersports HD if not mistaken) and 573 (National Geographic HD). Leave it on standby a few hours, still the same...switched off then on, still the same.... Other HD channels are ok, anyone experienced the same? Btw my place is in Shah Alam.

They will introduce more HDDs in the future, but for now, only the MyPassport AV is compatible, as they have tested it with the box. You will notice that the hard disk works hard with the box, constantly reading and writing. The activity light flashes constantly, even when the box is in standby mode.
BTW, mods, thanks for the quick action. smile.gif
