my set originally set at ' user defined 1 ' not the 18Measat 3A(VH) do i need to change? when i select 18 it warn me of losing signal.......can chnage or not, fyi, my set no problem at all can view all hd channel...
*
for user defined 1, you need to enter valid transponder frequency, such as 11682

for 18Measat 3A(VH), the right frequency is already pre-defined for you, so just select it and it will show HD channels transponder signal strength

I noticed that old faq beta version has quite a bit of duplication, such as same questions same answers appeared in different places in the document

You're a doctor? Now I feel pity for Singaporeans for having a doctor who can't even type and spell nicely, what if you spell the wrong prescription? But hell if you're a doctor, I'm a space scientist!

starhub's advertisement is very effective shocking.gif subscriber is actually defending that cable company, even though they have to pay exorbitant amount to watch bola

damn... i wonder if it is flexible, like lets say pay per use(charge one month)... for the hdd option.
i mean like june you use. then july you don't use.
can like that? pay for june only
*
astro works like this, if you cancel something, you will get charge 10 bucks

for byond case, if you want to cancel recording function, you must pay RM10

for PVR case, besides paying RM10, your PVR box will be downgraded to byond box, then you must also pay extra box exchanging+processing fee

for twin-tuner pvr, if you are watching 1 live channel, you can only record 1 live channel
if you are watching 1 previously recorded channel, then you can record 2 live channels

After change the dish & LNB, is the old dish & LNB will give it back to us?
*
if you want to keep anything from astro, they will let you have it after you pay up RM80(call they first and mention your intention to keep), but for PVR installation, you may not have that option

I just quoting ur post cos I agree that Astro should use the remaining "whatever thing it is" and dun have to put up more satellite out in space as if there are still space for them...

biggrin.gif

oh you mean transponder

astro hired 6 transponders from measat which enable astro to transmit 30 HD channels
and measat3A satellite can last for 15 years

I heard that the HD satellite dish is black in color and has a bigger size than the old one.
Does this mean we can view shows even when it is raining because it is more sensitive ?

Can a existing customer with HD satellite dish confirm ?
*
the rain-fade problem is still there even with 65cm new dish
if the dish is optimally aligned towards measat3 and 3A, you will have a slightly better resistance to rain-fade

you got what thing? like pixelation, some sort of screen noise due to bad signal reception?

are you sharing single LNB with 2 decoders using splitter? Is your LNB dual-output type? how is the cable condition connected to you old decoder?

hey guys... just wanna ask this troubling issue that I have... I've been watching F1 in ESPN HD a lot... and I noticed that there are some issue with the sound... quite a lot of delay...

Im not sure if this happens only to me or to everyone else... can someone tell me...
*
analog sound using RCA seems to have such delay

audo through HDMI lip sync perfectly, in addition digital sound delay can be adjusted

if i choose the aspect ratio to be 16:9, it will zoom and crop the top and bottom screen. but the other ratio setting, will not have full screen video, got black frame on the left and right of the screen. how to get full screen video without zoom or having the black frame?
