QUOTE(AjkR06 @ Jul 1 2010, 09:34 PM) unfortunately, same result as the first one happened... It means that, Byond PVR will only worked when we connect the 2 cables on it.... So "sensitive" lah this things... Cannot bring it to everywhere you want .. unless the dish at the place you bring in, have Byond dish coupled with 2-in-1 LNB... Iayaa.. not understand why this PVR need 2 simultaneously cable to need it running. Any reason?

Probably.... because when I disconnect the first or second cable, no signal can be received by PVR at all... this is using my Byond dish + 2-in-1 LNB... haven't try with normal dish... Or maybe if u wanna use your byond PVR at your kampung, you need to have 2 "normal" astro dish and connect the both cable to Byond PVR.... Since you said that "normal" dish can be used with Byond... why not Byond PVR? The different is Byond PVR has 2 tuners and need 2 separate wire... QUOTE(Qash-M @ Jul 1 2010, 07:11 PM) Also, it depend on your tv upscale the SD channel. If you subscribe to the HD channels with B.yond/PVR and you set up your HDTV that way, it is the B.yond/PVR decoder than does the upscaling of your SD channel. Otherwise every time you switch between HD and SD, you'd see the HDTV adjusting to the input it receives when you switch channels. fuad

QUOTE(Qash-M @ Jul 1 2010, 11:41 PM) Wait, if i switch to B.yond PVR, the decoder itself do the upscale? With a HD signal in either B.yond or PVR, the decoder itself do the upscale. Otherwise, the HDTV will lose sync each time the incoming signal changes from SD to HD and vice versa. This change in sync will take a second or two and cause the viewer much consternation. To avoid such an issue, the decoder upscales the SD channels so that the signal it feeds the HDTV is always 720p/1080i. That way, the HDTV never loses sync. fuad

Was B.yond PVR upscale same as B.yond too?

Off topic, lol, how is wish...
Finland has become the first country in the world to make broadband a legal right for every citizen.
From 1 July every Finn will have the right to access to a 1Mbps (megabit per second) broadband connection.
Finland has vowed to connect everyone to a 100Mbps connection by 2015.

just to clarify,
My astro dish is black byond, but i only subscribe for normal astro. So if I were to upgrade to byond, the installer won't have to change the dish right?
Thanx
