-you can scan barcodes that directly brings you to android market to install apps
-you can scan barcodes that contains contact information (such as name cards with QR/2D codes on them)
-most barcodes contain ASCII text below them, but if they don't, then you can find out with barcode scanner biggrin.gif

Some apps even allow you to scan the food product barcode.. brows.gif
I tried it in Aus but in M'sia duno..
Because the app will then check which is selling that product the cheapest or something like that..
Don't ask me what app, alr deleted long ago.. lol

I use barcode scanner to scan the QR code ppl post on forum or blog. And the app will bring to market straight away to install the app. Fairly easy and save a lot of time from searching the market.

Use it either for fun, or for links. I found out that pringles are much cheaper here :-)

Yeah, absolutely saving time to find any apps that showed by others which's of course interested one!
Still using it now.. If there's any free apps or games that need barcode scanner then, it's time for the show!! thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

I'm starting a library of books. Can I just use any sort of barcode scanner to scan into a program like Library Thing? Appreciate any feedback. tq.
