Dear all,

I am planning to get a plasma for watching Astro purpose, and due to my apartment has central dish, Astro Byond is not available to me now. So my purpose is really to watch normal Astro SD programs.

I saw this panasonic TV that has 1024*768 pixels (which is 4:3 = nice for Astro)

http://panasonic.net/avc/viera/asia2010/pr...lasma_spec.html

However the screen size / ratio is 16 : 9 according to the spec. This is the part that I am confused. The actual TV screen will be 16:9 if i am not mistaken?

Can anyone help me to understand this? is this good for watching Astro?

The single pixel is 16:9, meaning a pixel is not square.

edit- watching Astro should be fine, except they'll still be slightly widened if you choose to stretch the picture.

IMHO , the panasonic plasma has the best PQ for Astro.
the aspect ratio can be set in the Astro control box.. just choose the one you like.
