Wanna check with you all. What's the difference between bring back SGD to Malaysia via Maybank SG or CIMB SG? Say I'm planning to bring back 10,000 SGD? I understand CIMB is better. In what sense? The fees or exchange rates?

Is there anyway to check what are the rates for CIMB or Maybank at a particular time? Similar to how we can check the rates Instarem vs Transferwise. I have active Maybank Msia account, but my CIMB has been dormant for a few years. Just wanted to see whether it makes sense to revive the CIMB account. Btw can we transfer using Instarem or Transferwise back to Malaysia from Singapore? Might save on the exchange rate.

Thanks for the explanation. Didn't think CIMB can provide similar rates as transferwise. Will drop by CIMB and reactivate my old account. I understand there's no min amount to maintain in CIMB without incurring monthly charges, right? I plan to transfer into CIMB SG to activate the account and then transfer out to TDameritrade SG.
