Mr Gray just wanted to know are you required to have a FIN number to apply for the OCBC Debit Card via 360 Account?

I registered via PC ... I read some China Users videos they managed to skip the "FIN" number if they used the App to apply 360... rclxub.gif

Have you tried to apply for new accounts from the web portal rather than the app?

Applying from Web Portal most likely unable to apply Debit Card without a FIN Number.

To bypass this need to use the OCBC Digital App I heard.

[Application of OCBC SG Debit Card - 360 Account after using OCBC Digital]

After near 6 months, I finally managed to go to Singapore OCBC Branch and process and obtain my OCBC Debit Card (Linked to 360 Account)!

user posted image

- Need to bring your Passport and Malaysian NRIC (They will scan Malaysian IC only)
- Details about your Malaysian Address
- Your Yearly Salary in SGD
- Digital Signature on the Card.

So for those people, who accidentally created the OCBC SG 360 Account via Web Portal. You are prompted to fill in a FIN Number. Otherwise, you are required to Travel to Singapore any OCBC Bank and Open up an Account.

Otherwise, please be careful when registering your OCBC SG 360 Account, if you aim for a Debit Card!

i have ocbc sg acc (applied online) - can we apply for debit card on this?
*
Maybe you might need to apply for another account OCBC Digital SG?

Apply using Passport + NRIC.

Using Purely the OCBC Digital SG App : Obtain 2 two accounts Statement Savings Account (SSA) + Global Saving Account (GSA) automatically.

Apply a 360 Account with 3k SGD minimum balance.

thanks. apply a 360 account can apply online?
*
you apply the 360 account online via webportal you won't have the Debit Card option shipped to you.
I have to purposely go to Singapore OCBC to process my card.

u mean u went to OCBC SG branch on as a tourist and they allow u to open 360 and get a debit card?
*
Yes For my case,

But The 360 account was already opened the via Web Portal.
Just they won’t give you an option to fill in your details to apply for your Debit Card linked to the 360 account.

Saw some China YouTubers mentioned some have to ask OCBC staff via the Security Inbox to manual close the 360 Account, and reapply again via the OCBC Digital app just for the Debit Card to be shipped to their address.

ohh have to be there in SG physically?
*
If you applied using the Web Portal online. There is no options for you to obtain your Debit Card Physically/Virtually.
Then you need to be in OCBC SG Branch Physically for the Application will be about 30 mins + Queue time.
Provide your Passport + NRIC for verification. Thumbprint and Debit Card Pin setup.

Otherwise you applied everything through OCBC Digital app. You won’t need to purposely go to Singapore. OCBC SG will ship the Debit Card to your door step.

Also a temporary Virtual Debit Card will be provided to you in the app while waiting for the card.

==============================

The steps to open OCBC Digital's 360 Account is as follows:

Click the Triple Bar Options >> Apply >> Accounts >> 360 Accounts

Then fill in your particulars:

Heard that the minimum balance for new accts is now SGD1K otherwise kena admin charge. Is this true ?

Depends on what SG bank and type of account you applied to be honest?

So far I managed to applied Singapore OCBC Digital when it launched.

Singapore OCBC Digital applied opened two accounts Global Saving Account (GSA) and Statement Saving Account (SSA) , it by default will need you to pay $10/month if Statement Saving Account (SSA) < S$20,000 per month. Global Saving Account (GSA) has no fall-below fees, so you can save in other currency (how to get it out I have no clue).

Then I applied a 360-Saving Account using the Singapore OCBC Digital login, gotten a SG Debit Card which requires $3k per month, else fall-below fees of $2/month.

Hi everyone, i am looking to open an account in sg, preferrably with debit card, as I foresee frequent visit to sg. Also potentially future investment. I am currently working and staying in malaysia, without sg resident address. May I ask what are the options?
1. CIMB Fastsaver (no debit)
2. Maybank iSavvy Account
3. OCBC digital? (can?)

I am currently using wise to hold some sgd, while can use debit card for payment, i believe to withdraw money in sg got charges. May I know if these options valid or any other option? All these 3 banks I have account in Malaysia as well.

OCBC Digital currently offers lowest $1,000 minimum balance amount...
Apparently OCBC SG Recently restructured. Last time $20,000, otherwise if your account <$20k, $10 Fall Below Service Fees.

I opened a 360 Account, just for the sake of the Debit Card when I visited earlier this January. But I believe if you go to Singapore on a working weekday, the front desk don't mind to help you to get a Debit Card linked to the Statement Saving Account (STS/SSA), if you don't want to open a 360 Account.

Well, personally, I would say open another OCBC Savings Account without those "Fall Below Fees", because I feel parking $3k SGD doing nothing there, kinda defeats the purpose. Otherwise, park your money in Fullerton Money Market Fund or SG T-Bills.

opening a saving account also can earn refer fees?

Used to be, but like need to hit like dunno 1st/5th/10th customer to get like $10?
But now no more also just realized.

No promo edi.

But then OCBC SG Digital is still the easiest way to get a Singaporean Bank Account without requiring SingPass/Working Permit.

After you open, you can open monthly savings acct. Only S$500 min balance

i don't think such an acct exists. If there is, I'll gladly open. Once you have a valid OCBC acct, opening other OCBC sg acct is a piece of cake

If u just want a debit card, open MBB sg ar-rihla. Min balance only S$200
*
If you want the OCBC Debit Card shipped to your house, and don't mind the $3k minimum balance - 360 Account via Application through the App. Is much easier through the OCBC SG App. I applied through the web, I didn't got my Debit Card, and forced to go SG to get my Debit card laugh.gif

I believe the same applies for the Monthly Saving Account, you need to go to OCBC SG Singapore branch for Debit Card.

Managed to open ocbc account via app early this year but recently I got an email saying I need to provide sg address or the account will be closed. After reading your link, turns out this special convenience is for those foreigners planning to relocate to sg
Dang it, guess I need to switch to maybank sg? Or any another option that doesn't require sg residential address?

sweat.gif I guess so. I also received this email today to my surprised.

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Jan 20 2025, 07:11 AM)
I would not go with Cimb or any other sg bank foreign currency account. Reason is the min fall below amount which means extra fees for the bank should the amount drop below the required threshold and the money needs to be lock up and cannot be put to use. 2nd would be the exchange rate. I have always hated Singapore banks to lockup min amount.

If really want a foreign currency account, rhb multi currency in Malaysia would be a better choice.

If course if you are willing to travel to Singapore together a DBS account, by all means go for it as there is no minimum amount with DBS. I keep only SGD0.10 inside my DBS account.
*
- You Simply Can't open a DBS Account now without a confirmation letter from a Singapore Company right now.
- I tried few times in 2023/24, walked in .
- DBS Account depending what types still typical $500 min. else, $2 fall below fees?
