CIMB SG revised their deposit rates upwards.

https://www.cimb.com.sg/content/dam/cimbsg/...ision-jun22.pdf

Fastsaver <75k SGD rate is increased to 0.5% p.a. from 0.3% p.a. before.

FD rates also up to 2.05 to 2.30. Much better than 3.20 in Malaysia.

Guys, what is better.

Change MYR into SGD at Midvalley or change in The Arcade in Singapore?

of cos Midvalley bcos their commission is RM based, while if u change in SG, they have to cari makan in SGD

u check mymoneymaster midvalley website, buy/sell difference is 1.5 sen
u check arcade website, buy/sell diff is 2.6 sen

Did a quick compare about transfer MYR to SGD.

Wise: 5010 MYR - 1443 SGD
T&G: 5010 MYR - 1445 SGD
CIMB: 5010 MYR - 1435 SGD (from CIMB MY to CIMB SG account within CIMBclicks)

All not good, MidValley Moneychanger beats them all by a big margin with 1459 SGD biggrin.gif

Of course, they are already well known to be expensive middlemen.

You need to compare with MoneyMatch and Sunway Money.

Thanks will do.

Yeah. But they give cash. Not transfer to you in sg.

Sure. Was not a problem for me so far. But I used to change in SG at Arcade next to CIMB, recently I had no reason to go to SG, so I want to transfer now.

you don't do MYR->SGD for cimb, you do SGD->MYR...

right now you can sell your SGD at a higher price to CIMB SG, then buy back SGD from midvalley at a cheaper rate (wow untung balik RM7.80)

Yeah, I know, CIMB has excellent rates if you want to transfer from your CIMB SG to your CIMB MY account. Unfortunately I probably will never do this before our beloved Malaysia becomes a leading first world country biggrin.gif

This Sunway money is looking really good, I will use it.

By the way what is really annoying, CIMB SG does not have a cash deposit machine, you always need to be there at their opening times and take a number and wait...

So, it seems that CIMB Singapore ATM card is given for the applicants of CIMB StarSaver (Savings) Account, not the applicants of CIMB FastSaver Account.

Funny thing, this card has no expiry date.
