Guys is there any way to open Singapore bank account from malaysia? I don't have my EP card yet, but got my IPA.

I did research and most recommended CIMB SG.

Here comes my next question, if I open CIMB SG, but atm for it in Singapore very less (only at it's branch right). What is the charges if I use cimb sg debit card to take money from other bank's ATM?

Is it like Malaysia's RM1 equivalent of sg? SGD1.00 charge?

You can apply DBS if you already have IPA. But if you still not in SG then the process might take quite long as they keep sending you letter to your MY address separately to send you Debit Card, PIN, and etc.
Maybe you can apply CIMB SG first, then when you arrive SG then go to the branch directly to open another account with DBS.

Thank you! Yes I am following your advise.

Already have cimb sg account.

Just need to land into Singapore and show DBS counter my employment pass / IPA, passport, and employment letter.

Btw according to dbs website they mentioned need show proof of residential address.

My employment offer letter don't have address of my rented room at Singapore. I cannot show the tenancy agreement? What other easy proof to show my residential address? Can I request company HR to issue letter?

After I got my CIMB SG FastSaver Account, I also open a foreign currency saving account in CIMB SG through the eApplication.

May I know does this foreign currency saving account has minimum deposit to maintain to avoid the monthly charges?

And seems like I cannot just direct transfer money from CIMB MY account to this CIMB SG foreign currency saving account. Anyone try use wise to transfer USD to CIMB SG foreign currency saving account before?

Depends. Sometimes TransferWise is cheaper. Sometimes cimb is cheaper. I don't bother as I never have intention to bring back my money unless I really need it. I have never being back my money since like 7byears already.

you earn in SGD? I guess either you invest in SGD or USD denominated assets?
