think is this.

Subject to approval from the Singapore High Court, Maybank said Maybank Singapore would transfer its community financial services business, namely the retail (personal banking, privilege wealth, premier wealth), private wealth, retail, small medium enterprises (RSME) banking and commercial banking business via a scheme of transfer to MSL with effect from Nov 5, 2018.
*
Yes I got a notice through mail from them on this too.

For those who wants to open Maybank iSAVvy account, if you intend to use the debit card given, you must activate the card at a Maybank SG ATM, by setting the spending limit.
A trip down to SG is unavoidable unless you don't use the card.
Done that myself.
*
I have not used the card ever since I activated it lol

I read through few page, as i know, per September 2018, we still can open DBS acc.. but i checked in their website, seems like need documents from IFA?
And for Maybank, if i managed to open account in Malaysia and the card i never activate, can i use internet banking?
*
Yes you can still use internet banking no issues. If you don't wait the card I think you can let them know when you apply.

So I just applied for my Maybank iSavvy account and they'll be couriering it to Singapore.  Had to pay 30RM for courier fees which they debited from my account.

Hopefully the process won't take too long.

Wasn't asked for a bank draft or anything yet.
*
I thought you need to make an initial deposit of 500sgd? Maybe they have changed the process then..

The best bet for SINGAPORE bank ac would be MAYBANK .
*
Yes and I think you need to have a Malaysia Maybank account before you can proceed to apply for a Singapore account

own preference:
1) i dont like the digital security token, in case of run out of battery, then you need to mail back it , and wait for a new one, sorta troublesome for me. CIMB can use the app digital token
2) iSavvy got minimum amount to main, SGD500, fall below got charged SGD 2 / month, mean die die u need to put SGD 500 untouch in the account, CIMB no fall below charges
*
iSavvy can use SMS token.

Most of the people here go for either Maybank iSavvy or CIMB account.
