means that you can make a SGD demand draft from the counter itself where u want to apply for the SG MBB acc. one of the open application requirement is to submit a SGD demand draft, which is obtainable in the listed 40 maybank branches.

I just hope it's ok ..... sometimes, the ppl at the branch are inexperienced and don't know how to do it. So far Maybank still ok, but I had a bad experience with CIMB.

with this iSavvy account opened in m'sia, we cannot deposit SGD cash right? But I assume we can deposit SGD cash in SG, right?

iSavvy is open in SG. Whether they want to let you open or not is up to them. Maybank MY have no say in this.

No SGD cash in malaysia. Need to manually buy a SGD cheque from maybank.

Yes. Of course can deposit cash. Recommend use CDM or else kena charge if visit counter.

I was informed by one staff that in order to be able to open the isavvy account, must be Premier customer / deposit of 250k fixed deposit. Is this accurate?

nope. no such criteria such as above.

Appreciate your swift response! so the criteria are just as per the form? Ie existing Maybank customer, minimum deposit of $500? + of course form and ic?

Edit: just an update, unfortunately that's the 'additional' criteria now, at least where I'm from (I'm from sabah). Just been to the two branches stated in the form. Both of them 'state' the same prerequisite. Spoke to the RM at one of the branches too. Not sure if entirely true since some of you have managed to open them without any hassle.

oh never knew they changed the criteria. i opened mine in west msia KL. never been asked about the additional criteria before... maybe since my application till now, they are making it harder?

I got this criteria from C180 Maybank as well.

In the form, there's a list of place to go. Pick the one without Primer wealth/Priority Banking. Fill up the form and get everything ready. At the number counter, tell them you want to apply for isavvy SG account.

your location? maybe you went to the Premier Banking side. Just go to a normal operation branch.

I do find it odd that you have this 'additional' criteria at the premier wealth branches. Makes little sense to have 'different' policies.

And to have this stated on the official website without any uninformed additional criteria is just..
