planning to downclock my old 667 DDR2 ti 599mhz..for o.c purpose with old mobo
oh btw, the ram is value series from kingston.

Benefit - Longer lifespan but who cares since every RAM has lifetime warranty?

Disadvantage - Slower?

Advantage - u can get better timing with lower speed, might be faster even u have downclock depend on how u configure your whole OC setting..
Disadvantage - might be slower, but it depend on how u configure your whole OC setting..

u might able to push ur proc further..last time i dont mind running my ddr2 with 400mhz only..since the ram/mobo not like other divider other than 800 and 400.. but counter the slow speed with tight timing..
