<To repeat my post from v3, in case the closing means no one saw it>
Just need a quick comment, tech came yesterday and installed a 512kbps line although I applied for 4 mbps (usual TM cock-up!).
Anyway, I asked him to check the line. The modem says SNR is 25db and attenuation is 35db. He is saying the SNR is good, but the attenuation is marginal, that I shouldn't go for 4 mbps as the attenuation will go up, and the line will be unstable. So he recommended for me to upgrade to only 2 mbps.
Any comments/advice?
Ask them to change the line from the pole to your house. Just need a quick comment, tech came yesterday and installed a 512kbps line although I applied for 4 mbps (usual TM cock-up!).
