just got 4M for my CoolUni pack today.....the speed is now around 150kpbs~170kbps...wtf???

I thought it was suppose to be around 5M or above???

The technician guy said the speed will come gradually after 3 days...is that true, guys?

Added on July 5, 2010, 9:35 pmIP starting with 218 seems to get me a very fast speed albeit fluctuating around 300~400..max cap at 450kpbs.

The installer also activated my 4M package. So, just wait and see.

Again read back the previous thread

It works in two stages

1. Port side - they'll cap you at 4Mbps.
2. Account side - they'll cap you at 4Mbps . This one takes a day or two. Its done over at TM's HQ. So basically you gotta wait

After 1-2 days , disconnect from the Internet (if you're connected) and connect back. You should be getting 3.5Mbps+

Hmmm..strange, I thought they'll give you a bit of extra speed rather than exactly at 4M????

Nope , unless you request it for it or if your techie sets it. Again it depends , there is a price you pay if you ask them to cap it higher. If the techie himself set it higher then well you're lucky

oh shit, I better pray hard now that they'll set it higher a bit cuz is just fair right...my speed is fluctuating around 500kbps at night...so I dont think they are losing and I'm losing anyway....win-win for both sides.

nah, you're just scaring me,prasys..go do something else.

In few days time, I'll need to say bye-bye to my 4Mbps .. upgrading to Unifi .. and hopefully, they won't charge me anything when I disconnect my 4Mbps line .. well, according to the Unifi guy, I shouldn't get charged ..

You need upload and the ADSL path must be FAST

Interleave and FAST , is like day and night for gamers. FAST path offers the lowest latency !

There will significantly be more noise when it is on the Fast path mode compared to Interleave mode. Most copper lines are not good enough to handle Fast path for 4mbps in my opinion.
