the account upgrade should be done by their HQ. since the status shown completed means your account should have converted to 4mbps.

Any other 4mbps users getting really bad connection for the past few days?

For a few months now I've been having pretty smooth 4mbps download speed. Now I am having packet loss all over the place and can barely get my email to load.

The problem seems to start quite close to me (as opposed to being with the international link). Usually when I ping the gateway it's 18ms every time. Now it looks like this - absolute crap:

CODE
% ping 219.93.218.177
PING 219.93.218.177 (219.93.218.177): 56 data bytes

^C
--- 219.93.218.177 ping statistics ---
18 packets transmitted, 16 packets received, 11.1% packet loss

My modem stats are fine and the same as ever.

No packet loss on my side, but when i saturate my 4Meg connection with a download, my pings to any other websites like google or even the gateway will spike up to the hundreds, even thousands

For example, one test i did minutes ago:-

C:\Windows\System32>ping www.google.com

Pinging www.l.google.com [72.14.254.104] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 72.14.254.104: bytes=32 time=1892ms TTL=56
Reply from 72.14.254.104: bytes=32 time=1755ms TTL=56
Reply from 72.14.254.104: bytes=32 time=1308ms TTL=56
Reply from 72.14.254.104: bytes=32 time=1159ms TTL=56

Ping statistics for 72.14.254.104:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 1159ms, Maximum = 1892ms, Average = 1528ms

Modem stats same as ever.. its as if i'm on Satellite Internet with that latency.. WOOHOO!!!

Outright slow.I feel like using a 400kbps ADSL line for a 4mbps service.
That's just 1/10 of the subscribed speed.

That's coming from even TM's Cyberjaya server. How bad do you think it got?Even their own server is screwed!

my friend applied for the streamyx blockbuster 4mb package from a booth. before the technician could come over to test the line they terminated the 1MB streamyx first. up to now the technician is unheard from and multiple disgruntled housemates. should i hassle 100 or the agent from the booth?

Yes you can. They will send you another TM approved D-Link 2640B but you can still use your own.

Is the TM Approved D-Link 2640B have tweaked inside by them to throttle our connections? If got I rather use my own one.
